I rented the first season the other day and after a bored start, I got hooked. Matt Dallas is yummy (not to mention the strawberry milkshake/Pepto Bismol pink goo NOT covering his nakeyness in the beginning of the pilot). At first, the show seems too much like a low budget Pretender/Smallville/John Doe tween thing. Then, it pulls ya in.
At first, I hated both the Trager kids. They were SO self-involved, which is more real-life than I like my TV to be. Then, you realize that their behavior marks how much having Kyle around to take care of makes them better people. They have to wake up and think about someone besides themselves for once. *Gasp* Oh, and Lori was a ho, pretty much from the get-go (the pilot has a surprising amount of SEX for an ABC Family show).
Nicole, the mom is so sweet and believable as Kyle's almost-mom. They have some pretty emotional moments together.
Zzyzx is pretty weird name for the mysterious Company that is looking for Kyle. The creepy guy in the car turns out to have a pretty surprising role in the action, which I did NOT see coming. However, as the season came to a close, I figured out faster than they did what/who Kyle really is and where he comes from.
I can't wait to see the second season and to see how Jessi XX turns out.

Notice anything? I passed this on the DVD shelf and didn't know the answer until the show smacks you in the face with it.

I got my TIVO recording all the shows. I'm still trying to finish the first season. When I finish that, I'll give an opinion.

Well, I've very much enjoy watching the show so far. The plot's really creative and the characters are so real, but what won me over was Kyle. He's simple and innocent and yet his dialogue of everything going on around him is so complex. You really feel as if he's experiencing everything for the very first time.
It's been confirmed that it's been renewed for a third season. Which makes me happy, since it seems a lot of the shows I was watching are going belly up. mad

I like Journeyman, and I hope it can last a little longer, though I can't give it viewer support as I have no cable. I watch it every week on NBC Video Rewind, but I have no idea if that makes a difference. And it's good to hear that Kyle is sticking around, as I love how the show's progressing. Just looking into Matt's baby blues makes Kyle so endearing, how can you not fall in love with him?

I remember when the series was new and they kept having commercials about Kyle and his lack of a belly button. A friend said something about it, I don't remember what and I now associate her with belly buttons (or lack of). Apparently in a week or two the series is starting again.
Is Jessie alive? Did she survive?
Someone tell me when they watch it XD

First of all: And next, have started watching the rest of the second season. I think I might have missed a few since watching with Jemmi. Oh well. Kept watching at 13 and it's much improved. Declan stopped being psychotic cheerleader, Josh started being a little mature and caring and Jessi actually starts seeming worthy of Kyle's belief in her. Kyle of course is too awesome and responsible, so everyone is supportive of him, yet wary of what's to come now that he's back. Oh, and I hate that Andie has to be diversity poster girl. She's already got lesbian parents, but now she has cancer? A little too overboard if you ask me. She's a gamer chick and generally cool, she doesn't need this extra stuff.

I watched a couple of episodes, then I stopped. It wasn't that interesting anymore and I didn't have time to watch it.

SPOILERS!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST EP!!
Now that it's cancelled, I need to make a few more comments. Matt Dallas, while flamey in real life, managed to carry an entire show for 2/3 seasons (it was technically only 2, the last half sometimes being labelled a third.)
Jessi seemed anti-heroic, sometimes doing good and sometimes bad. But I liked her in the end, as she was made to be with Kyle and strove to be better for him.
The Tragers held well as far as I watched (I skipped a bunch to get to the end), and the only complaint I had was the misuse of Nicole. They reduced her character down to nagging, inept mom.
Ending on "Kyle, I'm your brother" was ridiculous. Latnok was a bit under- and over-done because of that. Got to see what they wanted, but was harder to see where they could go over the next few seasons.
