Planning:

About customers handing out merchandise for no charge: "I don't care, I can't stop you, but hey, this stuff is actually quite cheap and if you really want to help us, make them buy it themselves."

FAQ, or a Questions or Comments form

Details on bonuses

Thread in the guild to help keep up with the minishop. A list of our subscribers, whether they've paid or not, and a sales account

Sending a free issue to the people who are published in the 'zine.

A link, the actual issue, or ask them which they would like? (How exactly would we manage to give them bonuses when the issues's not all there in the PM?)

Possible ad pricing- place a limit on # of issues?

250 for 1
450 for 2
675 for 3
900 for 4
1125 for 5
1350 for 6
1575 for 7
1800 for 8
2025 for 9
2250 for 10
2475 for 11
2700 for 12

I think I had it at like 975g for a years subscription. I would like to at least do it in decent amount subscriptions of no less than 6 months. It just seems like it would be a hassle if we did a pay monthly setup. And lets face it; work is not something we really need a lot more of at the moment. Especially if I get that job at the bookstore.

Oh goody. Math.

Hmm. If we go with the 975g yearly, that's the same as 81.25g monthly which, obviously, doesn't work. But we'd want to charge more for any kind of individual setup. Hmmm...

My suggestion for the subscription is this:
Year-long subscription (12 issues) - 975g
Quater-long subcscription (3 issues) - 300g (100 per issue, do to added work in getting the issues sent out and taking payment which, by the way, I would volunteer for if no one else has got it already)
Half-year subscription (6 issues) - 540g (90g per issue)
Anything else: 125 per issue.

As for other things...I like the casino ticket idea, and small signature art would be a must. Hmm...

I'll um just be the CEO...

But hey, math is an evil that plagues this society. The question is if anybody can actually create something decent looking for the signatures.

Depends. What kind of signatures are you talking about?

Oh, I see now. Like a minishop sig. Hmm... I don't have much experience at all with graphics, let alone the program to experiment with. I should have asked for Photoshop for Christmas last year. *sigh* But I didn't think I'd really use it. xp

I liked Araia's payment plan. It sounded reasonable.

Another thing to bring up is sending a free issue to the people who are published in the 'zine. In the real world, we are supposed to pay them for their work, after all. That wouldn't be too much more work, right? We could handle it. I think I'll start doing it after the minishop is set up.

Oh, and if a subcribed person who's already paid gets published, then we just send them some gold. What was it, 81.25g per issue, right? Then send them 81g to pay for their work. 3nodding

>< If we can keep up with all that. If not, we either drop it or get more staffies.

EDIT: And what exactly were we going to do with casino tickets? Would that be a bonus or something? Because I was thinking more along the lines of special features in the 'zine that aren't published in the main part of the WF.

Or instead of special editions; which means two versions of each addition (though, now that I think of it; would be a good thing to have indications of content available only to subscribers in the public version to entice more subscribing.) also have them get a free holiday issue.

Oh, if you need a program, I'd suggest Gimp. I think it's somewhat similar to Photoshop, maybe not as good, but free. You could probably use that.

We could probably keep up with it but considering how strange some of our schedules are, like months off gaia and things like that, it might be reasonable to recruit new staffies.

Are we charging for these services? If we are, I suggest moderately cheaper than what they'd get normally on Gaia.

Let's see. I can:

- Do avi art of the chibi kind, [not too good...remember the stuff I drew for the staff spotlight a few issues back?]
- Wishlists! Subscribers send in wishlists, I can do 'em quick and easy. Same conditions as below.
- Sigs I can do easy, as long as they're small and customers can give me a detailed idea of what they want on it and how they want it to look like.

That works.

Hmm. I like the holiday issue idea. Though if we do a Corporate Christmas slant with Buddhist subscribers, there could be...issues.

Though there will always be those issues.

Wishlists are Niiiiiice.

Oy! Can anyone here imagemap?

We could do an alternative religion one, every holiday. Even the non-conventional holiday ones.....
