((For the foxes of me and Ankh.))  Sigal didn't like the giant open field she was staring at. It stretched on and on and on forever, with absolutely nothing in it. Especially no other foxes. Which kind of defeated the point of her wandering around on her own--she wanted to meet other foxes besides her family (most of whom she barely knew, anyway) and her mate.
She considered turning back into the forest, and trying again the way she came from. But the forest made her jumpy--she kept hearing sounds and thought that maybe something would attack her. Like that mountain lion that Rendo from Daddy's tribe kept going on about.
Deciding she would be a lot safer where she could at least see the things that would attack her, Sigal stepped out of the forest, and into the field.

Lounging on a rock was proving to not be the most invigorating activity he could do, but, being bored Aku had not many other choices to spend his time out there in the flat open ground. A nice breeze had finally picked up though, and he decided then was a good time to get up and shake what dust there was out of his fur.
Taking a moment to look around at the never changing scenery, he manages to catch sight of something purple. As he watched for a few seconds he could see that whatever it was, was moving and wasn't a solid purple. At least something is out here then. Hope it's friendly though.
He perches on his rock to watch. If they were friendly they would head his way, then again if they weren't friendly they might come that way too. He'd take his chances, this time.

Sigal finally saw someone else, lying on a rock. She looked at him, but she couldn't see a tribe tattoo for Kana. Good. Daddy said Kana was full of horrible foxes, anyway.
Actually, he didn't have any tattoos or mods at all. Did that mean he wasn't a part of a tribe at all? Maybe he was a wanderer, like her Aunt Rina!
"Hi!" she called out to him cheerily, and bounded over. Part of her remembered what Daddy had said about how some modifoxes were just bad, but she was fast, and she was sure that if he was bad, she could run away fast enough to escape.

Aku blinks a few times, watching the now-determined to be female run his way. Okay, so they were definately friendly. He waits to respond though until she is closer, he didn't like to yell, especially against the wind.
"Hello." He takes a few minutes to examine her coloring.

"Hi, I'm Sigal. Who're you?" She walked around him, but still didn't see any mods or tattoos on his other side, either. She knew some foxes liked themselves just they way they were, and didn't want to get modified.
She didn't get that, though. She liked her mods, all of them. Most because they made her look better, and the chocker especially because it was something she and her mate shared, to show they were together.

"My name's Aku. What are you doing?" He cranes his neck to watch her pacing around him. The tip of his tail twitches just a little, a habit he had when he was bored.
"What are you doing walking out in the open like that, your colors are easy to spot."

"I was making sure you didn't have a Kana Tribe tattoo. Daddy says that the Kana Tribe is full of mean and evil foxes, and you need to watch out for them."
She didn't say anything about how he didn't have any mods yet, since that would just be rude. Maybe he was just indecisive, and was talking a long time to choose his. Daddy said Aunt Rina took forever to decide on her mods.
"I was looking for someone to talk to. And it doesn't matter if I'm easy to spot. Daddy says mountain lions won't attack unless they're starved, and I'm pretty fast, so I bet I could outrun any evil Kana foxes who came after me."
She wasn't really sure on the mountain lion thing, though. Rendo kept going on and on and on about how the mountain lion attacked him, and she didn't think he was lying.
But she guessed he could be exaggerating, and he and his mate, Anjafey, had been attacked by a starving lion. That could be it...

"Huh, Kana Tribe? Haven't heard of them. Haven't seen any lions anywhere around here either. Just grass."
He gives a small shrug, waiting for her to sit down. "Where are you from anyway?" She didn't look much like a wanderer, but he could be wrong.

"I just left Daddy's tribe. It's over that way," Sigal pointed through the forest. "And I'm trying to find the Lazuli Tribe. Or the Tribe of Amores. I don't want to be stuck in Daddy's crazy tribe." Daddy wanted her to join Lazuli, and they sounded pretty cool, but it sounded like something had happened to the tribe, so she wasn't really sure if she could join.
"And you should've heard of Kana. Their tattoo is a glowy sword, and they're all mean and bad foxes, and you need to watch out for them. But you have to be careful, because the Sanguine Syndicate also have a sword tattoo, but theirs isn't glowy. And they're not mean. Mostly." Or that was what her father said, anyway. Pretty much everything she knew about other tribes and life outside of the Lunarie Tribe, she had learned from him.

Aku glances towards the trees for a second, before averting his attention back to her while she speaks. "Still haven't heard of them. What tribe is your father's then? I've heard of Amores, I think."
Actually he wasn't really sure on that, and the names that she had listed didn't strike anything familiar either. He probably should have done some asking around about the area before going there, huh..

"Daddy's one of the elders of the Lunarie tribe. And his mate, Kazuki, is the other." She didn't feel the need to explain they were both boys, since she didn't really see the point. Her mate was another girl, and Sigal just didn't see what the big deal was.
"Really? Amores isn't even an official tribe yet. But they seem pretty popular already." She paused for a second. "Have you heard of any of the tribes?"
Maybe he was raised by a human, like Daddy had been, and so he didn't really know what was going on in the world. Humans spoke some odd other language, so even when they tried to talk to you, you couldn't understand. And she bet the humans couldn't understand them, either. She had tried talking to Daddy's human once, but the human hadn't seemed to understand what she was saying at all.

Aku nods only slightly at hearing he was talking to the daughter of a tribe leader. It didn't really make that much of a difference anyway did it?
"I think I've only heard of the AMores, I've only heard what was said about it from a few others. If they mentioned another tribe in the area I guess i didn't hear it, or forgot."
He flicks an ear slightly as he watches for her response, before adding in his own question. "How many tribes are there in this area?"

"There are only five official ones, but there's a lot of ones that are trying to become official. The official ones are Lazuli, Lunarie, Bamboo, Kana, Kousetsu and the Sanguine Syndicate. I don't know about any unofficial ones besides Amores, though."
He really didn't seem to know anything. But that was okay. It wasn't like there was anything wrong with being raised by a human or something like that. Just as long as he wasn't evil like a Kana fox (which he wasn't), he was fine.
"You were raised by a human before you came here, right?" It seemed the right assumption to her. He couldn't have been here much, otherwise he would know about the tribes. And he didn't look half starved like the modifoxes that had to fend for themselves since they were kits. So the logical conclusion was he had been raised by a human.

After a short lapse of silence he asks another question. "Why are you looking for those other tribes you mentioned? Just to see what they're about?"

"You're not skinny enough to be a wanderer, like my Aunt Rina. She's really skinny, because she has to hunt all of her food herself, and doesn't have a tribe to help her with that!"
Even if she didn't really fit in Daddy's tribe, Sigal didn't get how modis could survive without a tribe. To have to know how to hunt and gather, which plants could help heal you and which ones were bad and everything else like that...
"I'm just looking for Lazuli or Amores, because I want to join. They both sound like they'd fit me really well."
