Guild,
I'm curious about your favorite prayers/well-wishings. Why, you may ask? Well, I'm a huge fan of religious study and philosophy, not to mention mythology....
Anyway, suffice it to say that I'm curious.
I know somebody's going to ask me what mine is, so I'll beat them to it. But really, isn't it obvious by now?
"Love and Vale" is my favorite prayer. Love, used alone at the end of a conversation is a send-off with feeling. That's pretty easy. "Vale" on the other hand (pronounced Wa as in water, Lay as in...well, lay) is Latin for "Be well, Be strong, Goodbye". It is, in every sense, a benediction.
But in Latin, Vale is in the imperative sense when it is spoken: in other words, it is a command. Put Love into that context, and it sounds more like "Love each other, dammit!"
This is why I alternate between the "," and the "!" depending on the situation.

Question: Did you make this just for me?
And I kinda like Love and Blessings, but that goes back a while....

No, Nola. If you checked the date of original posting, you would see that this was made days before we talked.
Or was it...?

Well, I like:
The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
-Numbers 6:24-26
It's a blessing that the last few churches I've been to have used. It's pretty cool. I find it peaceful. I don't know anymore prayer/blessing things sweatdrop

I'd have to say my favourite prayer is "Strength and Honour." Taken from Gladiator with Russel Crowe. There was another one, but my head is fuzzy and I can't remember which line from the bible its from. If you watch Pulp Fiction, Sam Jackson says it in the beginning and end of the movie, something about the valley of the shadow of death.
There's my post for the week, man I wish I more time off... crying

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

(from Pulp Fiction) he explains that he recites it every time he kills someone “ The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. ”

Interesting....
You're telling me that in a guild with multiple hundreds of people that this is it for prayers? Come on, people, post! Your mod commandeth you!*
They make my heart all warm and soft and fuzzy, like a day old peach, left out in the sun!
*cough* Brief Masq interruption. I'm sorry.
Of course, this might mean more of the Rant to come.... Nah, I doubt it.

Neither am I, and I do. You don't need to be religious to enjoy a prayer. In fact, most of the prayers I like best are the simplest ones, like Peace on Earth. To me, I do not see prayers as religious things, but rather as heartfelt wishes from one another. Prayers for a better world, a brighter tomorrow.
They make my heart smile with hope. That, I think, is more important than being religious.
