Welcome to Angelic Songs! I’m proud to announce (after months of hard gold getting) that Angelic Songs has been officially opened! I’m sure everyone has read the rules but just to be clear, I’m posting them here.

Quote:

1. Have fun.
2. d0n”+ +aIk Lke +hi$ (translation = Don’t talk like this)

One simple reason, no one can understand what you say. If you talk like this AT ALL, be sure to be kicked out not able to join at all. This is a literate roleplaying guild. No chat speak. If you wish to roleplay in that manner, go to the forums. Not here.

3. Post at least 5 well developed sentences.

Well developed, does anyone know what that means? –glances around- Well, I’ll explain. It doesn’t mean stick 5 sentences up into your post to make it be able to skim through our watchful eyes. No, it means you put effort into what you write and make sure that its not simple sentences. Nothing like,

Amy walked down the street. She said hello to a man. She turned around a corner into an alley. She saw a gang and ran out. She managed to get away.

That is five sentences, but not well-developed ones. Putting things like this is NOT APPECIATED! It never makes a good story anyways. Also remember. Five sentences is your minimum. Post more if you wish. If you slack off from time to time, you won’t get into trouble. Although if it repeats, be sure to expect a pm from us.

4. Post in Novel format.

Novel format… if anyone had ever read a chapter book (or Harry Potter) you’ve seen how a novel looks. That is how EVERYONE should write here. Not in first person with symbols to depict actions, no. You post in third person, novel format. Writing out your actions.

5. 3 posts per week

This guild should be active. An active guild is a good guild, correct? You have people to roleplay with and you don’t have to wait very long to continue a good roleplay. Three posts per week should be rather easy, although life does get in the way from time to time. There will be a thread to post when you’ll be gone and most likely not be able to post. Inactive members will be sent a pm asking if they are still interested in staying in the guild. Of course this will only happen twice. After that, you’ll be given no warning. So stay active, mkay?

6. OOC Chatting

OOC, out-of-character, a rather simple way of saying that you’re not roleplaying at the moment. There are a variety of ways to show that you’re out-of-character, such as brackets, actually putting ooc, or using a symbol at the start and the end. In roleplays, you should be roleplaying, NOT chatting. Unless it is a short thing or the creator of the roleplay has not placed a thread where you can ask questions of the roleplay, you can use it in the roleplay. Although it would also be good if you sent them a pm. Roleplays shouldn’t be clogged up with ooc chats. It should be filled to the brim with the story and slightly ooc chatting. Mkay?

7. Bumping

Some of you might have never been accepted into a literate guild before (Or a guild for that matter). Bumping should not be used here. The roleplay won’t be pushed back to the second page for a while, so everyone will see it. Bumping is also somewhat OOC-like. So DON’T bump.

I’ve made a simple system for everyone to understand how being kicked out works. I’m doing this before hand so that when you get you’re first pm you’re not, ‘What? I never heard about anything like this!’ Okay?

The System

To be kicked out you must either break the rules of the guild or the rules of Gaia. So don’t do either.

Step 1

We won’t be looking at posts all the time to see if you’re following the rules of the guild or not. But that doesn’t mean breaking them will mean you’ve slipped through our fingers. We rely on the members to tell us about it. If you’ve broken the rules at least a few times, and we’ve heard complaints about it, you’ll get a pm asking for you to stop. We will also tell you WHAT rules you’re breaking so you can fix them. Note: Breaking the Gaia Rules means being KICKED OUT IMMEDIATELY.

Step 2

If more complaints come in after a few days after we’ve sent you a pm and it appears as though you’re ignoring our first warning, we’ll send you a second one. DO NOT IGNORE THIS ONE. If you happen to, you’ll be totally unaware of what will be happening next.

Step 3

Following a few more days, even a week or so, and nothing has changed. We’ll send you one final pm, stating that we’ve sent you two others and that you’ve been kicked out. If you happen to reply to this and ask, ‘What? I didn’t know about this!’ Just be warned, asking for another chance does NOTHING.

I know it’s rather strict, but please understand that we want this to be fun for everyone and we don’t want people to ruin that. We also don’t like people who try to say that they haven’t broken rules and those who are just stubborn. You must obey the rules. You said when you joined you would. Just remember though, it’d take ALOT of complaints for us to send you that first pm.

Reporting Someone

If they have broken one of the guilds rules, please pm one of the crew members this:

Username:
What rule(s) they have broken:
URL: (Show us their post they have made which breaks the rule(s):
How often have they done it:

If they have broken a Gaia Rule, please pm one of the crew members and/or one of the Gaia Crew. For the crew members:

URL: (Show us their post they have made which breaks the rule(s):

Future Plans

There are a few goals this guild has and to reach them it would be great if people could donate gold (even a little) or advertise the guild.

Create an OOC Sub forum

Thanks to many donations, we now have an OOC Subforum. Thanks to everyone who donated. It even occurs to me that we currently have enough for another subfourm. Does anyone have any ideas as to what we should do with this gold?

More Crew Members

Currently there is only myself and I must say that it’d rather lonely. It’ll also be harder when more people join. For everyone out there interested in becoming a crew member, know this, you must have been here for a while! I will not allow new people to becoming crew members unless I have known you for quite some time. With that being said, only those who haven’t broken any rules can become crew members. Once we have 100 members, I’ll be looking at possible candidates.

More People

Right now there is myself and hopefully more people to come. It would be great if we could advertise the guild and get as many people to join as possible. If that happened, there would be more people to roleplay with. Wouldn’t that be fun?
