She's having to have a c-section so I'm a bit worried. We don't have the money to go, but I'm still happy. I hope it's a girl! x3

Huzzah!
Actually, a c-section is alot easier on the mother than a natural birth. 3nodding

Yay for more cute lil'uns! whee
@Phaedra: Hmm, but does the pain of a C-section last longer than the pain of childbirth? That's what my mom told me. Both me and my brother are C-section babies.

I've never had a natural birth, both mine were C-section, but my Mom had 5 natural... I was up and walking the day after mine, and all but healed within a week. I had to be a little careful with the stitches and go back a week later (two weeks after the birth) to get the staples removed on the first one, but that was all. Also something to keep in mind on mine, a normal C-section is what they call a bikini cut, it goes *with* the grain of the muscle, horizontally across the lower stomach, which is less painful, easier to heal, and less scarring than mine was. I had an emergency section with my first, vertical from the bottom of my navel to... there.... ninja (They just followed the scar for my second). It was easy to keep clean and dry, and like I said, it healed quickly and I was walking the next day. Now, don't get me wrong, it was painful, but all childbirth is. But it wasn't that horrible, and within a couple days the pain was all but gone.
With a natural birth, they usually do what is called an episiotomy. This procedure is painful, itchy, makes walking difficult, and is very hard to keep clean and dry, with makes the healing slower. Plus, I do NOT want someone cutting me *there*.
For me, if I ever wanted to have another kid, I have no choice in the matter, I'd HAVE to have a C-section, due to how my first one went (I'm not allowed to go into labor)... but even if I had the choice, I'd still choose it any day.

Um, I mean... sorry. But, at least now you know the ugly truth of it all... movies and tv make it seem so much more dignified and so much less painful than it actually is. Is it worth it? If you want kids, then yeah, because the truth is that all the rest is forgotten as soon as they put that tiny, wrinkled baby in your arms.
Another thing to keep in mind is this: typically, you get prettier babies from a C-section than from a natural birth. The baby is less stressed, since it wasn't squeezed through a passage the size of a lemon, they head is round instead of cone-shaped, and they aren't all splotchy, because they didn't have to struggle. 3nodding And you don't have to try and push something the size of a watermelon out of your body. biggrin

Atomic: You're welcome. 4laugh
Kumi: No problem, and yeah, adoption is a good way to go. There are plenty of children out there who'd love a chance at a real home, so why contribute to the overpopulation of the world. 3nodding

I had natural child birth.
Let me tell you right now, I'm one of those kids that used to pu safty pins in their skin for kicks. Slit my wrists for the pain ect. I have peircings and some tattoos. I never cry when in pain. While in child birth I was screaming in agoney. Its not the actual bithing part its self that sucks you don't really notice that part except the whole baby pokeing out of your cooch. No no, what sucks is the terrible contractions... -shudders in memories- I had an epiduarl, two actually and neither worked. XD

I know what you mean about being "that type of kid"... while I never did safety pins (that was Saew's thing), I was more of a "light myself on fire" type.
And yes, the labor is most definitely the worst part. The part that made it the worst for me was that I wasn't having *any* contractions at all, so they stuck this IV in me and in the space of 5 minutes I went from no pain/contractions to full-blown "end" labor. My body got no time to warm up to it, there was no lead-in, none of that "well, I'm getting one every couple minutes.... and now every minute... and now..." stuff. It went from nothing to one every 15 seconds or so. Until they finally got smart (several hours in) and gave me Demerol. I like Demerol. Then it slowed to about every 30 seconds to 1 minute apart.

Nay's my cousin, who's been like a sister to me. I found out everything. It was going to be a c-section because it was late coming, and very tiny. Nay ended up not needing one, but the baby had to stay over night because he was so tiny. That was the last I heard :3 Oh! And his name is Corey :3
