Well, I was cruising the Writing sub forum and checking out all the sweet posts in it, and, being a packrat, I was thinking about how to best deal with all that info. I also though about the website, and about the FAQ (Both deliciously beautiful features the like of which I've seen no where else) and was thinking about this.
What if we decided to write a book? What would it be about? What could we put in it? How many people would we need? I know we'd need a few full to part time authors, one or more full time editors, and such, as well as a lot of proof reading, literate people and groupwork, but I see it as a possibility in our misty future. How long should it be? What should it look like? Title? Anyone know how to make .pdf's? (My favorite type of book file) Discuss, my members.

That'd be kind of a good idea. The question is, would we want to stick all the info into one book or make seperate books that discuss different topics? It'd be nice to help promote some non-fluffy resources out there and some of the info from this guild is pretty cool~

I think we could start out with a few pages or maybe a chapter, and if something's really popular develop it out and split it to sperate books. Don't set your thoughts too high, though. ^ ^

I support this idea.
I will volunteer as an editor, if/when the time comes.

Ok, so next step is to pick a list of topics slash potential chapters. Then we will see what text we already have in our writing and articles, both in the guild or available for use outside, and go from there.

First I've read of this topic, sorry it took a while.
This sounds like a fairly good idea. If I hadn't stop researching, practicing, writing, reading and coding I'd be able to help with this a lot.
And... Josh, you forgot the "About Us" part in the topics list.
I suggest we use inspiration from Franz Bardon's Initiation Into Hermetics (I have the PDF if anyone's interested), I haven't finished reading it, but I think I got to page 140 something and it is an awesome book 3nodding .

Anything concerning folklore, social interaction, history of religions/beliefs/rituals, the psychology of magic etc... please, give me a buzz and I will see what I can do. wink Anything on Buddhism too, of course.
I can't really tell anyone much about magic, psionics or anything of the sort. But I can tell everyone a lot about how it fits into human behaviour.

Count me in, I suppose. I'm reasonably literate, I have a broad scope of info, and I hopefully will have some free time this summer after we get our puppy his invisible fence and stuff.

This idea reminds me a whole lot of Disinformation 's "The Book of Lies", which was a very sexy idea.
Count me in, I'm all for rambling about chaos magick or postmodern magick (although you could probably write a bit more eloquently in the former of those two, Josh) , and I'm a fair sport for editing/proofreading if need be.
