What if the reason Sasuke and Naruto are always fighting is because, partially, they both like Sakura? Not only because they're trying to show each other off? If that was true, I think that be cute blaugh

Meh.
I think that if Sasuke came back and expressed interest in Sakura...Naruto would back off.
Look at the hospital scene. He would definitely give them space.
Plus seeing the last chapter....NaruHina becoming more of a possibility, yesyes?

That would totally be so cute.
No one really knows for sure if Sasuke secretly has something for Sakura for more than just his precious friend/team mate lol And that maybe that rivalry he and Naruto has involves a little of their competition for Sakura. . . whee

I'm not so sure that's why they're always fighting (they are rivals, so it MAY be down there somewhere, and I know Naruto considered Sasuke a rival in part because he got Sakura's attention and he didn't), but it's a nice thing to think about.
And like has already been stated, Naruto would probably back off if he noticed Sasuke showing more interest toward Sakura in part 2, when/if he returns.
He saw that Sasuke had the possibility/did return Sakura's feelings on some level when he was willing to give his life so Naruto could run off her for her during the battle with Gaara, and when he saw how Sasuke reacted to her hug in the hospital. I don't think Naruto truly understood how deeply Sakura's feelings went for Sasuke until the "promise of a lifetime" scene. That is when he says
"Sakura-chan wa Sasuke ga daisuki"
Daisuki = love.
He admitted, and I'm sure it was heartbreaking for him, but he admitted it-- then he made his promise to her (he was going after Sasuke anyway, so really it's just more of a push to bring him back).

....uh well i think its al true.... and i think that sakura needs to stick to ONE guy and not like all of them......she kinda is a huge flirt......but if she wasnt then the show wouldnt be so good lol

Directly after the Wave Country arc and at the beggining of the chuunin exam where Kakashi comments "So much for teamwork" (or somehting along those lines). I was under the impression they were both trying to show off to Sakura.

Wow, I never really thought of it like that. But seriously I don't think that's the total reason. They are rivals afterall, for strengh wise. It would be awesome if you were right though! A love traingle! OoH! XD
That and we need a ceritain person to come back...if that doesn't happen, I would get Sakura to drag him back!
