What type of music do you listen to?
Favorite band's?
I listen to pretty much anything and I try to avoid country ( I just only like two songs.)
But the band I mostly listen to is The Rasmus.

Rock: Fall Out Boy, Bowling For Soup, My Chemical Romance, Dying Breed, All-American Rejects, Green Day, Sum 41, Yellowcard, Switchfoot...
Pop: Beyonce, Avril Lavigne (unless you consider her rock, too), Christina Aguilera, Chris Daughtry (yet again, hovering between pop and rock)...
ORIGINAL PINOY MUSIC.
J-Rock: Asian Kung Fu Generation, Plastic Tree, The Pillows, Belle Ame, Orange Range, Home Made Kazoku...
J-Pop: Koda Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Namie Akuro, Yui, YUKI... and a lot more, really.
And for the record, I'm not that much of a fan of rap. I'll listen to anything besides that, and novelty songs.

Oh geez.
I can listen to anything with good lyrics and/or a good beat.
As for current favorites:
Rock: +44, Fall Out Boy, Garbage, Something Corporate
Alt Rock: Snow Patrol, The Fray, 30 Seconds to Mars
Indie: Imogen Heap surprise, Gregory and the Hawk
Metal: Lacuna Coil, Breakin Benjamin
Pop: Maroon 5, hellogoodbye
Emo: Dashboard Confessional
J-Pop: Arashi, KAT-TUN
Someone needs to recommend me some good rap. >>

I try to stay away from rap, but nearly EVERY girl in my class has it on her iPod. So, what can I do?
Rock: I have a lot. I wrote them on all on the back of my health folder. I'm name a few.
Weezer, Lit, Avenged Seven Fold, The All-American Reject, My Chemical Romance, and Linkin Park.
I mostly only listen to Rock, so go figure. biggrin

Oh my Gawd. I'm HORRIBLE with genres. XD So simply put...
I'll listen to almost anything. Rock, techno, Hip-Hop, Indie, Powerpop, Pop, Foreign, Classic Rock, whatever.
I have so many favorite artists, I'd die of old age before I can list them all. But as far as what other people have listed here, I listen to them all except for Avenged Seven Fold and Maroon 5 (Though I must say I LOVELOVELOVE "Makes Me Wonder" xD I hope they start maming more songs that I like.).
I like country a little bitty bit. I tend to like a lot of slow country songs, though. Except for Rascal Flatts. XD I don't know why, but I love just about ANYTHING they produce. >>
As for rap: if it has a good beat, and lyrics that aren't as to so lewd I want to slap someone, then I'm okay.
imogen: You've probably already tried this, but I think eminem is a great rapper. The lyrics to his songs are just really deep (especially the ones about his daughter.) Other than that, I'm not that familiar with artists (most of my favorites lean more towards hip-hop/R&B.)

I tend to listen to Spanish music more but my favorite Spanish band has to be MANA (Spanish rock.) Also Marcos Antonio Solis ( My dad got me hooked on his music) They both have some nice songs.

Um.. Almost every genre, with the exceptions of Rap and some Heavy Metal, for American music.
Also J-pop and J-rock, aswell as K-pop and k-rock.

I was one those people only listen J-rock and J-pop music but I have start to stop that era in my life I coming back to listen normal things well the band that I totally love now is Snow Patrol I only listening to them and some other mostly Europe Singers and bands, and Joss Stone I love her voice!

I'm more of a music appreciator, so I don't particularly have a favourite type of music.
I guess my favourite type is the type I sing, but that changes with my mood |3; So I suppose Soul and Jazz is my favourite.
But, myeh. I'll post in categories.
