Hmm...well, Savage Twister being a sorcery is kinda bad, but unless you're going to run Fault Line or Squall Line, you're not going to get much instant removal. Well, I suppose you could use Inferno, but again, these damage you.
If it wasn't T2 I'd use Starstorm and I probably would use Molten Disaster even with the mutual damage effect if I could find them at $2 or less a piece.
MD really does seem like a good plan, the split second could matter for a number of reasons. Several people in my meta run insurance like sac effects, regeneration or stuff like congregate that they can trip if they smell a board sweeper. Being able to go SS and prevent tricks like that would be very nice indeed.

As for utilizing sorceries, you could always use some sort of Fog effect to last you until your turn.
I looked up Fog and it was last printed in 7th ed. 7th! It's not going to be
Extended legal for long much less standard. I really couldn't believe it. Chameleon Blur is the closest thing to a fog effect I'm going to get in green and that costs 4 friggin mana. White has Holy Day
and dawn charm, Black has friggin darkness and Green has chameleon blur.
What I'd really like to run is Tangle from Invasion. That would let me defend myself and punish attackers at the same time but again, stupid block limitations. Heck, maybe they'll reprint it in 10th. That would rock.

Or, you could have some sort of life gain (Essence Warden, though, will probably get you rapidly targeted), but it would need to either be massive (ala Nourish, Nourishing Spring, or Rejuvenate), or a consistent increase (Quiet Disrepair, I believe, would be one that's legal).
I had 4 Essence Wardens in my original build (and in the current itteration of the deck) but they came out to make space for other things and because global damage was a big part of the deck's gameplan and 1/1s with permenant effects have negative synergy with that.
I could put them back in now that I have less global damage but I'd rather run more global damage. I'm not sure that they're powerful enough to dedicate 4 slots to. Sometimes I end up gaining a couple dozen life off them but sometimes they get shot imediately upon entering play.
On other lifegain: If stream of life was an instant there would probably be two copies in there but I just can't afford to tap out to gain life. To clear te board I can probably afford to tap out but playing somthing like stream of life during your own turn pretty much paints a target on you.
Nothing else in standard seems powerful enough. Quiet disrepair is only in my upkeep. If it was each player's upkeep it'd be cool enough to run but 2 life per 3+ player turn... I'll be dead before it matters.
I've actually considered Dryad's Caress even with no white to spend but it's only half the life of congregate for 2 extra mana. Just not really worth it.
I've also considered Molder but as artifact/enchantment removal it's universally worse than krosan grip and that split second thing is somthing I've wanted to try out.
Spike Feeder is the only other in colour, in format option worth mentioning and it's the most promising yet. At 3 mana it gains me 4 life or distributes 2 +1/+1 counters while serving as an early blocker... The fact that it can make Rimescale or Akroma big enough to survive scourge casting tumble interests me. This may well be the best option to replace Yeti with. The art is butt ugly, though.

As to Akroma...well, really, Fury Akroma's kinda a win more card anyways; I'd go ahead and keep one, but cut the other one. If you manage to hold out long enough to get one, you'd probably hold out long enough to get two, giving you a dead card.
I think I'm going to cut them both. Maybe I can build angelfire or Izzetron or somthing to put the bloody things in. I know they're not that great but I
pulled 2 and I want to get some use out of them.
As for casting, it's not that hard. I have 8 accelerators in here plus scrying sheets to ensure I make my drops. It shouldn't be unsual to hit 8 mana and 3 red by turn 6 or, on occasion, turn 5 and technically Rakroma only needs 6 mana to cast so she could come out even earlier (of course when a R/G deck drops a morph there's really only one thing it could be so it draws plenty of hate).

Hmm...I can understand the Yeti CC issue. But there's got to be better, and maybe something more life gaining?
Spike feeder is almost definitely better. I think I'm going to drop the Yetis for them and possibly the Aether Membranes as well (or maybe drop one for a 3rd feeder and drop the other for somthing else).
Thanks again and feel free to chime in with any more thoughts.
