Tada! For all you guys who really want to help the environment but don't know how (I used to be one myself), I have created this sticky! People can list everyday things you can do here...and for ppl who don't know what do to...well just drop by. biggrin
Wow. We have soooo many thread topics on this kind of stuff, and it's impossible to compile everything all together, but I guess you can read/post wherever you want. xd

What kind of recycling program do you have? We have an awesome one. I could look for info on ours. Also, some one was posting stuff in the donation thread, links and things. I'll look for that.

Here is what Midara posted on the donation thread. I wish she would pop in here. Here are a few links I found.
http://www.recyclethis.org/QP_Res_start_sch.html http://www.recyclethis.org/QP_Res_start_wrk.html Those two^^ are based specifically in Pennsylvania, but have good info anyway. And here's one on how to start a college program: http://www.musc.edu/recycle/Primer/chapt3howto.htm And one for schools: http://www.charmeck.org/Departments/LUESA/Solid+Waste/School+ and+Kids+Recycle+Corner/How+To+Start+A+Recycling+Program.htm And a link from Rumpke: http://www.rumpke.com/Recycling/Recycling_Program.asp And for the entire community: http://www.sandiego.gov/environmental-services/recycling/condo.shtml http://greennature.com/article209.html
And those were just a few that I saw. Does that help any? *Feels totally inspired*

I'm kinda shy too... 3nodding But another thing you can do is write up a really moving letter to your school or community and tack it up where everyone can see it. hopefully that can inspire them to help.

We have an awesome recycling program at our school. Last year, we saved 37 and a half trees! ^_^

You see, that's exactly why it's important. Can you picture in your mind what 37 trees all standing together would look like. Pretty nice, IMO.

Speaking of trees, a hurricane past through Florida yesterday and now there are a bunch of fallen trees everywhere crying There is one right in the back of my house.
I wonder if the city replants them.
