The age-old question: Is Suki alive or dead?

All signs point to dead. She faced down Azula, who has little regard for life. Suki lost, and she's a very persistent fighter. (In other words, she probably wouldn't surrender.) She also doesn't have her clothes, and even if she DID surrender, she wouldn't willingly give up her clothes. She's proud.

Also, on a completely dorky note, the frame in which we last saw her had a lot of bloom. Anyone who's watched a lot of TV knows that nearly anything with either a lot of bloom or slow-mo, IMMEDIATELY cut off afterwards, is a usual sign of death, or at least extreme pain. It also showed Azula's attack hitting her. This is also a sign that she died, or got pwned hard to the point that it's a miracle she IS alive.

So, y'see, all EVIDENCE points to being dead.

However, do you think she's dead?

I personally kind-of sort-of think she's dead, but I'm also REALLY hoping she's alive, simply because I love Sokka and having ANOTHER girlfriend die would... Well, I'm not sure how he'd react once he found out. I don't like emo-Sokka.

That's easy: as the token normal guy Sokka gets all the torture and angst of the happy little troop. After all, did Aunt Wu say he would live a life of suffering, most his own cause? But since he's not really it's acutally the writer's cause. Yes... yes... I just made no sense at all! XP


If Suki is dead that would suck, Sokka couldn't take loosing another girlfriend. But I doubt it because it's a kiddy show (Nick primetime isn't really for more than early teens) so it's unlikely they'll have the death of a named character. At least not a confirmed death. Yue: became Moon Goddess/fish (not entirely dead). Zhao: got taken off by Water Spirit (Don't know if he's actually dead or not...) Previous Avatars: confirmed dead or they couldn't be reborn, but since they appear in the Spirit World they aren't really dead dead...

Yeah, if Suki's dead we'll probably never get any in story confirmation though. They kinda just... let it trail off. We don't know if the water killed Hahn though, it's just assumed. So basically, if we never see Suki again she's dead.

Suki is probably dead too cause Azula isn't really the most merciful person int he world, let's just say.

I'm pulling for Alive.

My theory is Suki was badly injured during her battle with Azula. Suki may have also fallen down a steep cliff/hill during the fight and Azula decided it would be a waste of energy to chase her down or thought Suki was dead. (Yeah, I know, we don't know what the geography is like so this is being hopeful)

Also we don't know which uniforms were taken from the fight. There were a number of Kiyoshi warriors there and we don't know if Azula, Ty Lee, or Mai's uniform is Suki's.

i REALLY hope she's alive b/c (like everyone said) i really would feel bad for Sokka and he would be all depressed cry Suki really is an awesome character but all the signs point to that she's dead......

I think the creators or someone creditable mentioned that Toph would be with the Gaang throughout the rest of the show so I don't think she'll die.

And Tokka is not going to happen in the end.... evil
I have nothing to base this on other than the fact I'm certain the creators of the show would very much like to keep all of their limbs attached to their bodies.
