Sorry, I edited your title because mentioning that Kylie is cast in this year's Christmas special might be considered a spoiler by some (and we all know how sensitive Ceribri is about reading spoilers! gonk )
Anyway, Russell T Davies shot down the Kylie thing in a magazine not long ago, but since Kylie herself has apparently confirmed that she's been cast, I wonder if RTD was intentionally lying in order to keep this bit of news a surprise.
Of course, I have no idea what Kylie Minogue sings, but whatever...

Ya really don't know what to believe, huh?? On the one hand, RTD nixed it, but at the same time... all the mags and papers and whatever are saying it's happening. Well, who knows! We'll see, I guess...
I would be unhappy if he intentionally lied. I dont like lying, no matter the reason...
