Well, in the OA, most fans I've talked to will agree that Alu was well and fully dead once Incognito blasted Alu's blessed silver bullets back at him... So the bullets are a theory. Only the Power of God, channeled through Sir Integra's orders, brought him back again.
And in canonical Dracula, it's done with staking and beheading. But, we've seen that those two things don't really do much good anymore... Many sources of fights in the manga proves this.
Burning his coffin.... there's an interesting idea... I think it would hurt him, but not kill him directly, just weaken him/cut his options, like in 'Dracula' when Van Helsing purified the other coffin-boxes, making them unusable.
Burning his body? Unless done in conjunction with something else, wouldn't work. Look at what happened on the ship with Rip... He was pretty well engulfed in flames...
Anderson, even Holy Relic Anderson, has tried and FAILED. And right now, Anderson is canonically by manga no longer around to fight, IE DEAD.
So I think it might be one of those 'hit him with everything you've got' type things.
He *might* stay down then. xd
OR
Judging by past (1944) actions, he seems rather afraid of Werewolves. Perhaps Captain could defeat him. twisted In other vampiric lores, the vampires' greatest enemy is the Werewolf. 3nodding

Running with the notion that through Integra, God's power is channeled and fuels Alucard's own, it would be bloody impossible to kill him if you're fighting Hellsing.
Note that Sir Integra has not released his powers in the manga skirmishes against Captain. Once/If she does so, he might turn back and fight the werewolf without fear or danger, relatively speaking.
With the poll, I took the "his own bullets" option as this has killed him once. If it was Sir Integra shooting him, she wouldn't release his powers and he would thus stay dead.

I've always agreed with the idea that only the Hellsings can kill Alucard. They seal his power and control how much he can use at one time, after all. Like you said in that last paragraph, essentially. The silver bullet idea is really just from the OA. But as it's never happened in the manga or OVA (yet), we can't deny that it's possible.

dragonmaster135 well he also considerably died when anderson cut his head off but he came back to life then so maybe when he got hit by his own bullets he just waited like with anderson hhhhhmmmmmmm maybe, maybe I doubt it. There was great emphasis on Integra releasing his powers and the effect of her words. It is made clear that it is the power locked into his bindings, released by Hellsing who have a religious (God) base to their occult control of him, that allows him to rise again and defeat Incognito. He does not rise again of his own accord.

Burning his coffin wouldn't do much. He'd get really, really mad and torture you untill the end of eternity. He doesn't need to sleep in any specific 'Coffin'. He could sleep in the dirt of the mansion's ground for all he's concerned about. The coffin is more or less a.... personal thing to him.
How many times now has he been set on fire? Two? Three? Now working xd
His own bullets are the best way to go, I Think. It was shown in the Anime that he died when Incognito shot him with his own bullets. It worked once, why not work it again?

personaly when you read the manga in vol. 3 when the soliders come to kill him and his side kick seares they find his coffin and he reacts so violently that it makes you wonder is his coffin just a prized possesion or i think especialy qoute *pointing at his coffin* "here i am BORN here i DIE" that is read directly from the book while he is pointing to his coffin and the caps locked letters are bolded for a reason this is just my guess

As to the quote, its symbolic. If you think about it, he was both "born" as an un-dead and "Die[d]" as a human. It represents both a start and an end for him. Also, I believe when he dies for the last time, he will be in his coffin. Because aside from Integra killing him, I believe the only way he would permenantly die is if he willed it to be so. At that time, I feel he would like to be in his coffin, the last place of refuge afforded to him. Destroying the coffin itself would do nothing, except make him really, really mad, and probably result in you dying, not him.

V-for-Virus what about if someone kills Sir Integra? Ouch.
*hands over a blood packet* Kudos for the curve ball question.
Question right back: With or without an heir to lead Hellsing?
With Her son or daughter has control of Alucard and could kill him or release his power for him to survive virtually anything.
Without Argument abounds. Would he be free? Would his powers lock down? Would only his final level of power lock down (the one Integra has to release). The later is my opinion.
And that doesn't even consider Alucard's personal reaction to Integra's death.
NOTE: I am assuming Alucard IS NOT the one who kills her!
