I'm surprised there's no thread on this yet. eek
I went to see it yesterday. I loved it! Except... well... I don't want to spoil it, but there was one thing I really, really wish hadn't happened... that involved Harry... He was so happy for a while there... cry
But anyway, it was really good... Venom was so much more awesome than I expected. And Peter was such a sleezeball when he was being possessed, it was hilarious. rofl But I was surprised at how different he looked. I mean, the switch from good to bad was so... amazingly well done. It was as subtle as a slight hair change, but his whole appearance became so dark. Tobey Maguire is a good actor. And the action scenes were so COOL!!! I can't wait to see what's in store for us next!
On a side note, yesterday was National Free Comic Book Day! And the comic store had a table set up for it at the theater! But it was way too crowded and I could get near it to get myself a free comic. emo

Any REAL comic book fan would know that it doesn't matter. It should be treated as a seperate storyline. I mean, Spiderman already has several seperate storylines within the comics themselves. This is no different.

jgk102490 the ringing of the big bell thing is what had weakend the symbiot enough for spiderman to get it off of him correct? in the movie Yeah. The only thing that kinda disappointed me about Venom was that it had no connection what-so-ever to Jonah Jameson's son. *shrug* I was expecting worse. And it looked awesome when it was attached to Eddie Brock which made up for it! By the way, I haven't read very many of the comics... I was a big fan of the old cartoon series, though. I really want to read the comics, but I don't want to start in the middle by buying them now and my uncle (who has like, thousands of old comics) is one of those "Keep it in the plastic!!!! scream " people... I'm trying to talk him into leaving his collection to me in his will, but he's not going for it so far. I think he wants to sell them eventually. xp

I wasn't a big fan of the movie at all. After all of the hype, it was a real letdown. I don't know what I would change, but it just didn't suit my fancy.

Is that out already?
I'm horrible at keeping up with these things.
Anyway, I'd like to see it. 1 and 2 were both pretty good.

My only true upset is that in the comic book, Venom gets launched into space on a rocket ship, and that would've looked really cool. This, however, did not happen. What a shame.
