RP for Yami (RPed by Ai No Yami) + Zeph (RPed by The Kat Aclysm). --------------- The time was late in the evening now, Zephyrizon the Nightmare Kitsusagi could tell that for two reasons. For one, the air was cooler, and the types of creatures that normally hung around during the day were tucked away in their dens and copses, asleep.
Yet he stayed awake, pondering. He had made Yami angry earlier in the day, and for reasons not even he could work out himself, he felt bad about it. He had only been meaning to play around, to be playfully annoying. But she had hissed at him, and it wasn't a friendly hiss either.
He flicked at the air with his tongue, catching the scents on the air, wondering if she was still around the area of the HQ. It was warm in there, and despite the fact that Hale'oki had never taken him there as a kid, he felt comfortable and safe there.
He kept his ears raised, and his tongue out. If he payed close attention to his aura-sense, perhaps he could find her if she was still around.

Yami was in fact still around. She was currently resting nearby, letting her meal digest. Therefore, she was in a much calmer state. She didn't forgive what they had gone about doing, but at that moment, she would be complacent enough to listen.

He kept his head low as he continued his search, his big lunking horn-tips scuffing the ground every so often. He flicked his tongue out of his mouth and hissed slightly in frustration at the limits of his abilities.
Until he finally found her scent, that was.
Zephyr perked his head up, and flicked his tongue against the dirt, following the scent. It was faint, but it was there. He raised his head high as soon as she came into his field radius of 'sight', and he casually trotted his way over to Yami, slowing as he reached her.
He approached her left side, deliberately scuffing his claws in the dirt so she could make note of his prescence and current location.
"Hey there." He said finally, feeling a bit silly as he thought how to begin this conversation.

Yami raised her head toward the voice, wondering why he was even bothering approaching her after last night. But as previously stated, her demeanor was also quite mellow.
"Yessss?" she replied, hissing it a little bit. But it wasn't a menacing form of the hiss, just that her s's slurred a bit with the teeth.

Zephyr adopted a pathetic posture. He had learned to do this from when he was in trouble with Hale'oki, and it had gotten him out of trouble many a time. He hoped it would work now.
"Hey, um, look..." He sat hard on his rump and scratched at his side with a hind leg. "I'm sorry for making you angry before. I was just messing around, you know, kit stuff. Though, I'm not a kit any more and I probably shouldn't do it."
He shook his head. "So yeah, I'm sorry. I meant to play around, but not to make you all angry and stuff." He turned his head away to bite at his short ashen coat of fur. Damned fleas.

Yami could tell that he was being submissive, even though she could not see his posture. She listened as he apologized, but she wasn't quite sure why he did. It wasn't as if that was not in their nature to annoy and be evil. He was just acting on his nature, as was she to growl at even the thought of being bothered.
"Do not annoy me." Yami said softly, stretching out. "You act as we are supposed to, do not apologize for that. Though I will respond in kind, should you try to."

Zeph tilted his head, seeming quite confused now.
"So... you don't mind and are enouraging it, then?" He continued to scratch at his back with a hind leg. "Just thinking about bothering somebody else makes me wag my tails with glee, but you didn't like it... so why would you be encouraging it?"
He raised his ears attentively. "Oh, and what was that animal you killed for food? I see it's aura around the land here often, but I can never catch it and examine it. But they're all pretty much the same colour... and they move the same. Well, the one you had didn't move any more..."

"It is our nature, Zephyr." Yami explained, grooming a paw. It seemed she had missed some blood from the kill earlier. "Just do not bother me. I do not bother our kind, does that make sense?"
At the question, she shrugged. "I have been told it is called a boar.... but I do not know. I cannot see it. It tastes good... and it is a good size. Better than the small thing with big ears... I believe it was called a rabbit."

"Oh, the... hopping thing?" Zeph snorted. "They stink. And they bite if you get too close to them. So yeah, I don't like those. But.. boar, right? I'll try to remember that. There's a lot of stuff I have to remember, it seems."
"I'm sorry," He said again. "I'll reserve my poucings to the other Kitsusagi species. But you can't deny that it's fun."

"Forgiven." Yami answered. "And I do agree with you, though at times they can get squirmy... and complain, then the angelics come down on my head."
She lived with a total of two angelics, and they were the bane of her existence. Gabriel, a fallen angel, was not quite so bad as she had a wit that rivaled her own, but the angelics... They constantly told her what was right and wrong.

"I am fortunate in that sense," Zeph said, sitting on his hinds. "I've never encountered an Angelic, well, in more than passing that is. But I hear they are quite unbearable, or so mother says." He frowned. "Are they truly that vicious to us?"
"Who is the least tolerable species, the Normal or the Angelic?" He scratched at his side with a hind leg, tilting his head curiously, thinking to himself that there was still a lot he had to learn.

"Easily the Angelics. They are so high and mighty since they have their own powers, which they use occasionally." Yami growled. "The normals are just, as they are. Normal. They may not have much power, but they are just as they are... the Angelics, they throw their weight behind their 'right' and 'wrong' talk."
She bristled at the thought of the Angelics. "That talk the other day of Normies being boring.... and annoying. They are nothing compared to Angelics."

Zephyr slowly bobbed his head to indicate that he was listening, agreeing, understanding.
"Oh, I would hate a righteous b*****d trying to tell me the difference between right and wrong," He grunted. "I know the difference! I do not need to be educated on the subject." He made a soft irritated rumble and twitched his front paw claws. "I would also hate being told I am wrong all the time. By the sounds of things, those Angelic Kitsusagi, they sound awful. I'm glad I don't really know any. And I am sorry that you have to deal with some of them."
"And I thought the Normal I knew of was bad..." He continued. "He's a self-righteous prat who also happens to be pompous, and acts high and mighty. He's more than easy to whump with the flats of my horns though."
Zephyrizon grinned, puffing out his chest, seeming proud at stating that. "And now that I'm big enough to take on even mother, I bet I could easily thump any Angelic that causes you trouble - if you like, that is. It sounds like it would be fun. I would also be doing you a good service, no?"

"Hm...." Yami grinned, liking the idea of causing some pain to the Angelics. "I think I would like to hear that. However, they are elusive. They have wings, so they prefer to stay high up when I have no way but to spring from high perch to high perch."
She wondered just what an Angelic might think of being whumped by their horns. How many would be getting that kind of punishment?

Zephyr excitedly swayed on his hind legs, wiggling his toes and heels as if in preparation to pounce something.
"They can fly perhaps - but I can jump." He snapped his jaws at the air playfully, and a devious evil smirk made its way across his bony and toothed maw. "I can jump high at that, too. Not only that, every one of my teeth point back towards my throat. I could give something a bite and lock my jaws onto them. I could hold onto a wing, a leg, a paw, anything. They'd have to shake me off and my teeth would cause razing damage as they slide off again. Doing something like that would certainly teach those morons a thing or two, neh?"
"It'd certainly teach them not to harass you any more, and it would certainly teach them not to mess with me." He made a loud snort and chuckled, flexing his claws in glee at the thought.
While not evil as such, Zephyr certainly had a mean streak, as was showing through quite clearly now.
