Takuha Jettrick will probably of hated it, but thats his opinion. Wha-? Where have you been for the past fortnight, Taksy? I dig the new season now-it's Rooby-babes I blame for all the negativity these days ninja On a different note, that preview trailer for the next eppy looked terribly convoluted and yet strangely, indefinably, awesome confused

Better. Much better!
I originally thought that revealing the monster so early would just do for the whole thing, and that the rest of the episode would just be very scooby doo.
But no! T'was good.
Next time.....my god. I squeeeeeeeled. In a fan-girly way. Very, very out of character. Can't wait!

Yeah, I was initially worried the episode was going to end prematurely and wind up with them doing some Martha and her family character schtick. Boy was I glad to be wrong there :3
And finally some Mr.Saxon talk again...pity this plot's not even remotely interesting to me so far >.> So he badmouthed the doctor to Martha's mum. WoooOOOOOoooo he's evil....*cough*.

I loved it...but I was more excited about the preview.
I hate it when I start screaming and jumping up and down like a rabid fangirl! sweatdrop

Wow. eek Not really much I can say. eek I am actually scared!! eek
Mind you, another slap can be added to the Tenth Doctor's tally! Poor Doctor. He's met two companions' mothers and both have slapped him!
The Coming Soon bit has just made me more annoyed about Eurovision. I wish I had a TARDIS.
Favourite quote:
Lazarus: That's a lovely perfume, Letitia. What's it called? Tish: (looking puzzled) Soap.

Best so far! Thats all I can say. Oh and the preview, at the end of the episode was of the hole series to come. I think that because it had the family of blood in it, and those people arn't going to appear on our screens until about episode nine. But anyway, this episode was great, it had agreat performance from Mark Gatiss, and David Tennant, the monster was scary and at same time wasn't just a beast, it had a personality and intelligance, which is something that we don't often get in the new series of Doctor Who.
Long Paragraph WOOH *Does rock on*

This was rather good. Though much like Jettrick I am extremely glad that we didn't end up with fifteen minutes of family stuff, and instead got another healthy dose of monster fighting.
And we finally get to meet Mr. Saxon! My theory (or possibly just blind hope) that he's actually The Master has only been reinforced by this week's episode.
On the subject of the preview, I think it was actually more for the rest of the season than just the next episode. From what I understand it was meant to be something of an apology from the BBC for denying us the next episode in favour of Eurovision.

Y'know, it would've been much more effective if the trailer for this episode hadn't shown the actual monster. Then it might've been a bit more of a shock.
Still, good to know we humans contain the DNA of a not-particularly-scary monster.

I'm actually kinda shocked, after last weeks flame-war, at the positive reaction to this weeks! Mind you, I wasn't too keen last week either...
This was just so... FUN. I mean, obviously big monsters aren't "fun" but I thought so. The combination of the setting, the actors and the story... everything worked. Sure, the CGI was kinda weak. But whatevs. If we can find the old Daleks wonderful, we can look back on this and think "WONDERFUL" yeah?
I thought the preview was for next week at first too. Glad it's not, that'd just be too much great-ness at once!!

The story was a bit rushed, but overall I think this one was pretty good. Didn't like the CGI monster though... reminded me of that Scorpion King guy from the Mommy Returns.
The goodbye scene at the beginning was fairly well handled, given that we already knew the Doctor wasn't really going to ditch Martha just yet. I'm kind of curious about who the 'mysterious man' played by Bertie Carvel is supposed to be. Seems like he's Harold Saxon's henchman or something in this episode. I wonder if he'll be back later to cause further mischief (hopefully more than just getting the Doctor slapped by irate mothers).
Liked the 3rd Doctor reference: "Really shouldn't take that long just to reverse the polarity... I must be a bit out of practice."

In defense of the monster this is a British production, founded on a British budget, fuelled by a tiny British team of animators.
The monster was f***ing ace o_o

Further to my earlier comment, I have just got up having had a nightmare about the Lazarus Creature. First time since Remembrance Of The Daleks when I was 4 that this has happened!
And I haven't had a nightmare that's woken me up since I was 14. I'm 23 now!!
*feels silly. It's only a TV programme* rolleyes
