Well, I think I'm finally going to go buy one, but which to get? I like playing RPGs and 'friendly' games if that makes any remote sense. What would you all recommend?
I was pulling towards the PSP, just more RPG titles. But the DS has Animal Crossing and just plain fun puzzle type games and pokemon of course.

I don't have a PSP so I can't really compare the two, but I can say that the DS is a ton of fun ^^

PSP is superior to the DS graphics wise and uses (such as putting movies, music, and pictures on it)
But it has a LACK of good games. The only good game I ever played on it that I really loved was Lumines.
DS is very innovative, and even though its graphics are not as good as the PSP's, it makes up for that with several good games and creative playing methods.
DS wins... unless SONY got the PSP's act together...

God... this has to be the third thread, at least, that I have seen on this topic.
I personaly prefer the DS to the PSP, because everything the PSP is good for I can do on my laptop and ten times better with one hundred times the simplicity. On top of that the DS is much more widely used so I can take it everywere without a game, and still expect at least a dosen multiplayer games rangeing anywere from mario cart to sonic rush.
I am also looking forward to getting Animal crossing, if only for the multiplayer option (( that and I want to check it out, it appears to be fun))

*appears in a flash of lightning* Ahh it feels good to be back. Yo all. I have had a PSP and a DS. Yes the PSP can do more, and has better graphics. However the only really good RPG I've played on it "Brotherhood of the Blade". If your looking for good RPG titles, go for the DS, it's got Super Mario 64 DS, The New Super Mario Brothers, that new game Spectrobes is a lot of fun. It's kinda like a teenage version of Pokemon, because you excavate the spectrobes, you raise them in incubators until they grow up to adult lvl, although, the Spectrobes look a lot more feirce than most of the Pokemon. Then the Spectobes grow to their Evolved form and they look like, "Hey Charizard, I will eat you" lol. Anyway it's a really good game. Plus they got that "Pokemon Diamond and Pearl" coming out soon. There is also Lunar: Dragon Song. So long story short, go for the DS. It's touch screen technology is the best. If you get it, pick up Warioware Touched too. That is a very addicting game. Well like I said, it's great to be back. Later all. *bows and vanishes in a flash of lightning*

I love my DS. It is the baby of my console family. xD *hugs it and recieves weirded-out stares from surrounding people*
To be honest, I haven't touched a PSP, but that's because they're so friggin' expensive! Sure, they have a crapload of neat extra features, but I feel that's unnessecary. Consoles like the Xbox and the PSP with all their fancy extra features are too expensive because they do too much! A game console doesn't need to balance your checkbook and make your coffee. It should play games!
*steps off soap box, wipes spit off clothes*
Anyway, I say go for DS! You'll have more money to buy games anyway xD...

~A smile will always brighten any room….
DS. Nintendo was meant for greatness. Sony was meant for okay-ness.
….But only if someone is there to appreciate it~

I'd say a DS. It's really fun plus I don't own a PSP so I don't know if it is any good or not.
