Now, before someone mistakes this as some advertisement for a live FF7 movie, I will make one thing very clear. There is no movie for Final Fantasy 7 starring live actors, I just want to get the opinions of people about if there was one. Now then, on with the show...
If they made a live action movie of Final Fantasy VII, who do you think would play the different parts? And please, keep it to actors most of us know. Don't spout off the name of some german girl you saw in an online video unless you plan to supply the video as well.

Personally, I think Mandy Moore would do well as Aerith. Of course... I would like to play Aerith myself... ninja

Hugh Jackman would be an awesome Cid, but I think Katherine McCormick would make a better Aeris.

i think carey elwes should be the voice of cait sith. he's played a cat already, so it should be no problem for him! (the cat returns by hayao miazaki)

If anyone says Mr. T for Barret, I think I'll explode.
I always pictured Johnny Depp being a good Sephiroth. His voice would be better for Sephiroth rather than Vincent, because Johnny is better for a evil character!
Ewan McGregor would work for Cloud...
Scarlet could be played by Taryn Manning

I see Liv Tyler more as a Tifa rather than an Aerith for me. Carey Elwes is awesome! He'd make a great voice for Cait!
For Barret, I'd probably say Eddie Murphy, due to fowl mouth, or Bernie Mac. Then again... o_O;; I can also see Mr. T doing his part.
As for Cloud... that one's a toughy for me... I'd probably say the guy who played Aragorn. (His name just slipped my mind suddenly. eek )
I can also think of Drew Barrymore as Aerith.

Trying to imagine Elijah Wood as Reno is making me laugh though...that would be hilarious to see. xd

I think Michael Fassbender would be a good Reno (Stelios from 300).
...I don't know about Johnny Depp as Sephy... I'm a big fan of Johnny, but I don't know if it's a Johnny role. Not crazy enough. Maybe Gerard Butler, though. You seen him in Dracula 2000? Alluring in a creepy way. Perfect for Sephy.

Dude, I don't know much about actors/actresses, but I think that Kirsten Dunst would absolutely suck as any FFVII character. Think, have you seen Bring It On? She was horrendous! (Actually, the whole snobby cheerleading thing was annoying to begin with, but oh well....)
