I prefer the manga.
pgsm:
my gripe with it?
cats- why didn't they use real cats?
Anime: english version= f***ed up chinese version: i swear that in one part of the show, Usagi's tongue was green coloured and...
They showed very few episodes!
Argh!
parallel sailor moon- funny, yet... i am not really attached to it.

I love them all, but~
1. Musicals 2. Anime 3. Manga 4. PGSM
Well, the musicals and anime are really a tie for me...

Tanith_4486 I prefer the manga. pgsm: my gripe with it? cats- why didn't they use real cats? There is a very simple explanation for this: It is far less expensive and irritating to use CGI and/or a plushie than to train an actual cat to do what you want. Have you ever tried to train a cat to even just sit on command? I have three cats, and they barely come when I call them. Even when you spend a load of time and money training a cat for film or TV (which doesn't happen very often), they don't always listen. Cats follow commands when it suits them. How long would it have taken to make one episode of the show if the cat playing the role of Luna decided she just wanted to sleep that day? I realize that the whole plushie thing bothers some people, but it is totally unrealistic to expect a low-budget production to spend time and money training a cat when there are easier and cheaper options. Besides, the plushie thing also sends the message that the show is really not taking itself too seriously, and I personally think that's a good thing. I don't think you can have a totally serious live-action sailor moon and not be so cheesy it's painful to watch. At least PGSM is fun.

I think that I know this : "I realize that the whole plushie thing bothers some people, but it is totally unrealistic to expect a low-budget production to spend time and money training a cat when there are easier and cheaper options. Does this explain how I feel? I hope so. I loved Sailor Venus, Jupiter and all the sailor Outfits... in pgsm. and the princess sailor moon's attitude. very cool. There are musicals?

Manga and original Japanese for me please!
Musicals? "Right now live action just isn't nearly as good" ~AMV "Right Now Someone is Reading This Title"
PGSM? Plush. Pissed. Me. Off. Okay, seriously-I wasn't expecting real cats, but couldn't they at -least- do a decent CG?! The CG SUCKED. >< And the puppet just looked so freaking weird. I -hate- that stupid show.
English Sailor Moon? Cousins. That's all I'm gonna say.
Chinese? Never seen it, but Chinese subtitles scare me...they do weird jobs.

I love the manga, and japanese anime version. I haven't really saw all of the live action show, just little clips here and there.
