I'm just looking for other opinions when it comes to masturbating... help me out here, is it wrong? or is it a natural thing?

here comes a great discussion *sighs*
Its wrong. Masturbation is a form of sex. If you do it before getting married it's a sin. If you do it after married it's wrong, not specifically a sin, but wrong still, because it's like ignoring your partner, they might take it as an offense.
You might want to look it up in the bible.

Well, for another opinion: There is a point where masturbation possibly becomes excessive (I would know, as I do it at least once every day gonk ) and there are lusts that can be extremely harmful to society; open the way to them, and you open the chance to you acting them out in real life. There are some who say masturbation is healthy, and I agree within the context that it lessens the chance of prostate cancer (in males) and that it provides temporary stress release... be careful of addiction, however.
Sinful? Yes. Harmful? Depends on how far you take it...

I agree with Vic. Masturbation is a sin because it is a form of sex. I believe that even after marriage it would be considered a sin because you would basically be committing adultery with your hand.

I dissagree. it may be like comiting adultery with your hand but it may also be considered a preventative measure against pre-marital sex. the lustfull thought a person may have can be chanelled in a non-destructive way in a safe and controled environment.

The lustfull thought a person may have can also be destroyed by the powerful hand of God. So I think praying is even better than jerking off.

If a person has enough trouble controlling their lustful thoughts that they have to masturbate when no one is around what do you think they'll do when someone is around? I agree with Vic again. Praying is better.

It's a sexually immoral sin, like defiling your own temple, in God's eyes.

I will admit, I have done it... but that doesn't mean it is wrong. I also surrounded myself with yaoi porn, and that almost destoryed my bond with the Lord.
I agree, it is a sin. And I do know how hard sin is not to do, especialy if you like it A LOT and you don't think that is hurting you. I was torn appart because of yaoi!! But now that I see how much it is terring me appart, and I don't just KNOW that it is, I have EXPERIENCED how much it is.... that may sound confusing, but I think that there is a really big difference, and its really importaint.
Anyway, in short, yes, it is a sin... it is sex (technicly) and God doesn't want you to have sex with anyone unless you really love them... and if you love yourself that much then I would be worried and seek help... and if you don't and are normal, then yeah...point proven

That's why I completely quit reading any citrus EVER--it just leads me down a dangerous path that I don't need to be on.
Resurrected Writer-san: Again, I've been in the same boat, and I knew how bad it was, and I know how difficult it is to quit. But if I did it, so can you. whee heart
