So we all know about Sasuke's famous episode 109 Thanking Of Sakura. [[It's worth caps. xD]]
Of course, there is definitely the mysteriousness over what he was thanking her for.
But what about Sakura's original "Please" in the Forest of Death? [[Episode 33]]. The "Please" was used to stop Sasuke from killing/damaging Dosu in Cursed Seal form. But the Please and the Thank you didn't come from the same place...like it usually does. It's almost like Sasuke was not only Thanking Sakura for everything, but completing her sentence... It's so Yin-Yang. <33 They complete eachother.
Okay, so does this-ness have any validity whatsoever?

Hm. Interesting. (I figured it'd be like this)
Though I see it more as Sakura always saving Sasuke, and him thanking her for that. Ah well...
I'm not big on that 'ooh opposites complete each other!' stuff, since I hate the idea of opposites attract most of the time, and I believe in more of the yin and yang like Neji and Hinata are, and Sasuke and Hinata. That kind of completion. It seems realistic, and pure.

I never thought about that. It's possible, but who knows.
Now thoughts are in my head
It's way obvious Sasuke was thanking her for everything. But who's to know really.
And have you ever looked at the Thank you scene really close. Did you notice Sasuke's lips. It looks like he's trying to find the write words to say to her.
o.O

o.O *dabs eyes with napkin* It's so sad....Sakura tries so hard for him, but he's so baffled...And doesn't understand love. It makes sense why Sasuke would be unsure of what to say...He probably considered saying: "I'm sorry", but realized that it wouldn't work, and that "thank you" was a better way to leave.
It reminds me of Kyo and Kagura from Fruits Basket. Before Kagura reached out to Kyo, who had never had friends, for her own selfish reasons, even though he believed she was a good person. In the end, he hugged her and said "Thank you", because he knew that "I'm sorry" wasn't the rigth response.
Anyone see what I mean?
I kind of wish it was Kyo/Kagura Yuki/Tohru now....>>

This is perfect fanfiction fodder. I'd like to use it some time.
It feels a little farfetched to me, probably because I've always thought of Sasuke thanking Sakura for showing she loves him no matter what, or for offering her very existence to his cause, but refusing it at the same time. But yeah, it does seem right after much thought.
As for completing each other, I don't really see it that way either. I'd rather they complement each other's completeness, know what I mean?
(As for Furuba... I'm more of a Yuki/Machi than anything.)

I have to agree with what Tenshi said. I don't think that the "Please" and "Thank You" were out to compliment each other on purpose, but I think that's it's really...cool (for lack of a better word) that it happened that way.
I also think that Sasuke thanked Sakura for being true to what she had always claimed (not neccessarily with words): she cared for him. That bring from day one, when all she saw in Sasuke was a handsome, dark and mysterious boy, to when she saw his faults, his weaknesses, and whatnot and STILL cared for him.
And actually, I have to question: Sakura got her crush on Sasuke when she was very little. Could it be that maybe the Uchiha Clan hadn't been murdered yet, and Sasuke was still the way he was at eight? If so, then it makes a lot more sense as to why Sakura continued having feelings for him until currently (being as we're not quite sure what her feelings are right now). I mean, you like a sweet, cute boy, and suddenly he goes from that to a cold kid. If I were Sakura, I would've liked to stay and see why the boy I like had a sudden change.
You would think that someone who fangirled so much would eventually see Sasuke more as a friend than 'more than a friend', especially since she was maturing.
So I bring up a new question: Is it possible/probable that Sakura eventually grew to LOVE Sasuke because she had really seen every side of him: Before the massacre, after the massacre, and during Team 7?

@-[Neji][Hina]- When I first watched that episode, I really thought he was gonna say I'm sorry.. but then he turns around and says Thank You. You know, It probably wouldn't matter since in some ways, it means the same thing...sorta.
Alright I just confused myself. But it would still prouve at least something. That Sasuke cared for Sakura ^^
and for the Kyo/Kagura thing. I've thought about it. When I first started watching the series, I thought about that. Though Kagura reminded me of Ino before. But then I watched that one episode and it really reminded me of SasuSaku.
Then again, everything reminds me of SasuSaku. But yeah!
@Remedi: I think Sakura did. Well It's obvious her crush grew into something more. And that's something that some Anti-SasuSaku ers can't see. And I also think that's what makes you love a person. Not only for their looks, but their personality and other stuff. So that's what Sakura eventually fell in love with. Once she saw everything about him, her crush grew into something way more..
Love! <3

Hah, good points!!
I'm sorry, but I still don't get +EmpressYani+'s first post O__o I must be really slow or something....
Anyway, I think those two phrases are better short or else they would be too obvious, right? Kishi likes to foreshadow and plot twists and stuff, so why not make us little nutter fans go mad xP
I'd say the "thank you" Sasuke gave Sakura was genuine. I think he probably didn't know how to respond to that "I love you more than anything" part too. In my point of view, I think Sasuke really cares for Sakura, as a friend and a teammate, someone who he will truly risk his life for, like the many times he did, and many even more than for that reason...Even if he actually loved her, I doubt he realized that. He was too focus on Itachi and his no.1 goal (Itachi) to get involve in a romantic relationship. However, now that he's maturing...I don't think it'd be the same as before. He thanked her for everything she had done, and, to me, Team 7 had a lot of influence on him..and I guess everyone has already known that...
Now the please part...it's a powerful scene. There's definitely something there that I can't quite put it =D Maybe someone might like to continue xP

Likewise, Pinky.
Sasuke's "Thank You" to Sakura was genuine. I believe it was his way of thanking her loving him, despite what he had done and/or said. Sakura impacted his life in many ways. Most importantly, I think he recalls the events in the Forest of Death, where Sakura brought out the humanity in Sasuke by hugging him. His thank you also branched out from the care and attention Sakura gave him while he was in the hospital. Honestly, without a mother to care for him, Sasuke must not have had anyone give him the kind of love and attention that Sakura gave him through the times he knew her. She respected him, loved him, cared for him, and literally would have done "anything for him."
That is why he thanked her, and in doing so came to realize that Sakura had changed from that annoying fangirl he used to know and dislike, to a person, a teammate, and friend he could respect. He sees her as an actual person now. Before, it was indicated that Sasuke didn't know what to think of Sakura- she was just a teammate and what not. But events in the Forest of Death and her display of affection for him changed his outlook on her entirely. If Sakura continues this, it is not impossible for Sasuke to see Sakura in a romantic way.
As for the "please," I think it was Sakura's plea to have Sasuke return to "normal." Normal as in the cocky and arrogant Sasuke that she knew. She didn't like this all-powerful Sasuke who went out of his way to nearly kill the person who had hurt her.
Oh, and for the opposites attract- I normally don't buy it, but it works so wonderfully with SasuSaku that I can't help it. @_@ <333

As for Iia-san's question...
I believe that if Sasuke had been a little sweeter before the massacre, it wouldn't change his appeal to girls in any way because of his looks and brains. I'm pretty sure they fangirled over him just as much before and after the massacre. He was reclusive either way, and no one could have known the real him, not even Sakura. So while it's possible, it's only slightly likely.
Remember - Sasuke was a loner even before, and the only people he would actually interact on a personal level with was his family. I'm willing to bet that besides his good looks and strength, there was nothing else going for him, and no one would bother knowing the real him, so Sakura couldn't have actually known him in a familiar sense. (We don't see any classmate interaction with Sasuke before the massacre, after all.) His popularity probably increased when he got that "cool" personality - that's another thing that the fangirls like about him. But that new facade is the only Sasuke the fangirls know about.
I believe that Sakura knew his personality was lot nicer than before the massacre, but more based on theory than on actual experience. But I think that the basis of her feelings was her attraction to his physical and mental attributes (plus the fact that she wanted to compete with Ino), and as she went deeper into his personality, her feelings of attraction just developed into something deeper as well. She probably saw something in the REAL Sasuke that made her want to care for him. Therefore her feelings went from something selfish (fangirlism) to something more thoughtful (love).
...
When I read my post again, I realize how little sense I must be making.
