When I first got my game, all I wanted to do was earn bells so I could may off the morgage on my house. So whenever I caught a rare fish or bug (dorado, shark, banded dragonfly, and many others) I'll sell it. Then on New Years, I decided that I'd donate any bug or fish that I caught to the museum. It's such a pain trying to catch everything over again! I wish I'd just donated everything in the first place.
Did you ever do something that you wish you didn't?

Oh man...that sucks.

Well, when I first got my game I was overwhelmed by all the hats and the accessories that I had to get them all.
So, I'd go through each day only check the Able Sisters Shop...never doing anything else.
But then my friend told me about the bunny hood...I pretty much went insane for it.
So, each day I checked instead of buy new hats I didn't have, I didn't buy anything until I seen the bunny hood.
So, finally in June (I started in January...) I got the bunny hood.
So, now I have the bunny hood...and a lot of hats...

once i decided that i was going to collect all the rare fish and put them in my house (i had the biggest house you can get until i rebuilt my town [which i do not regret]) and then when i finally got them all i sold them. I forgot to put a fish i didn't have in my museum, it took me 3 months to catch that fish again and finish the museum (except for the art)

Donating to the museum was a higher priority than moneymaking.
So all the fish I've ever caught are in the museum, yay.

I had a very similar experience!!
One day, a Blue Ribbon was for sale in the tailor's.
I thought that wearing a pretty ribbon in my hair would be so cute,
but I greatly despise the color blue, so I didn't buy it.
Later (much later), I made a schoolgirl sailor design
and realized that the Blue Ribbon would be the PERFECT item to complete the outfit.
So I checked the tailor's EVERY DAY for months and months and months,
waiting to find that Blue Ribbon again!
Finally, I did manage to buy it, but man, it took a long time.

The Bunny Hood is awesome, though.
I understand why you would want it.
I wish it were the Bunny Hood from the Zelda games, though.

I caught a Coelacanth on my second day, and I still have it. >;0

During my first week, I didn't know what a pitfall seed was yet, and I steped on one. I was scared that i'd just crushed a Gyroid. and then I met Resetti fo the first time.
