Yes I know. Its great! YOu can go to www.nightsintodreams.com to find more information. They are trying to keep really up to date and translate a few things too. April's issue of Nintendo power will also have information on it.
YOu haven't heard of it....Whats wrong with you?! scream NiGHTS into dreams was a great game and still is very fun to play. It just came out on a crappy system. The Sega Satern didn't have a chance. I would think a lot of Sonic Fans would know about it since it was made by Sonic Team and all. That and NiGHTS makes cameo apperances in almost every Sonic game now. stare I still laugh at the floating head sign in Radical Highway. rofl
Still sucks that it has taken them 11 years to seriously consider a sequal to this game. But the Wii will be perfect for it.

Xagarath Ankor Who knows, I might actually get to play a game in this series now. You won't regret it. The game was wonderful even on the Satern. I made a video all about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhxyUERduBk . Better version of the video is on http://www.nightsintodreams.com/NiD/cobalt/ViDEO/videomain.htm , just scroll down to the file called "NiGHTS Music video". Youtube does not do my video justice. It even messes up the audio. crying My Youtube account also has other NiGHTS Into Dreams game footage in case you want to know more about it.

I just can;t afford to get a Saturn and then pay extortionate Ebay prices for a copy. I buy consoles rarely.

My copies of NiGHTS, Christmas NiGHTS and Streetfighter Alpha 2're the only reasons I never sold my Saturn. I may try picking up a secondhand Wii when the price drops (although I appreciate that that may not be for a while).
I wouldn't call the system "crappy", though. The graphics and playability were there, the console had power and the title range was reasonable.
It just wasn't marketed hard and fast enough to give it an edge against its competitors.

I wonder if they will be bring back the Nightopian A-Life system again. Yes my friends, before A-life chao there were Pians!!! You could breed them, kill them, make them happy, or make them sad. It was hard to do though cause this took place during gameplay. I prefer chao myself but it would be interesting to see these little guys again.

I've seen evidence it was theoretically more powerful than said competitors, in fact. Apparantly, the dynamic reflective sonic head in Sonic R's titles could not be done on any other system.

I've seen evidence it was theoretically more powerful than said competitors, in fact. Apparantly, the dynamic reflective sonic head in Sonic R's titles could not be done on any other system. True, the system itself was good. However, the games were not. From what I read, most of the games were 2D based games with 3D graphics. This was not true for all the games, but for most of them. Even NiGHTS into Dreams was not fully 3D. You stayed on a guided path. So the games could not compete as well with copetitors as Mario 64. NiGHTS was a great game but it and the Saturn itself were not getting advertised well, and people were basing a lot on what they already seen. To make matters worse, they never got a full 3D Sonic game on the System in time. (Sonic 3D Blast was only a graphical remake of teh genises version.) Sonic Xtreme had so many delays that it wasn't out within the first year and instead for Christmas they came out with Christmas NiGHTS. By the next year, they system had to be canclled. The Playstation didn't make things any better either. Also, I don't know if this had any effect, but game system itself didn't look to great either. It looked a lot like a Sega Genises and even the controllers were the same. The anolog controller only came out with NiGHTS Into Dreams. There were many other reasons, but those are the few. Wow...I really rambled there. sweatdrop

Seriously, I am QUITE aware of NiGHTS. : P A shame though, that I've never been able to play the full game. In all these years, I've only played the two levels that were on the demo disc bundled with my Saturn. Still...when you find yourself playing a demo as much as a full version of another game, or even more, you know you've got a good title on your hands!
