I was searching arround and noticed that many of the J-bands I listen to aren't getting the love of their own guild. Thus, here is this forum. Speak here about your other favorite and least favorite J-bands and thier music.
BTW: Does anyone know anything about The Stereo Future? How did a bunch of american kids wind up on the delicious label with the pillows?

I don't know a thing about them other than that they opened for the pillows at the concert I went to. o_0 I don't even remember if their music was any good or not.
As for my taste in other bands, some of it is similar to the pillows and some of it couldn't possibly be more different...my runner-up favorites are probably ELLEGARDEN, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Beat Crusaders... I like korean music too. Namely Se7en, Dong Bang Shin Ki and The Trax.

Well, Manabe met the Stereo Future on a trip to Seattle and liked them. I think that's how it went. >_> Well, I hate these Japanese bands: Dir en grey L'arc en ciel Ellegarden ('o') that one band that doesn't even deserve my rants... oh, yeah, Orange Range Many, many others... Can we talk about some other bands not from Japan? whee

I can only take a little bit of Beat Crusaders. They're more than slightly mediocre.

I'm real into this band called bivattchee. They did a theme song for eureka 7 that blew my mind and the rest of their cd is just as good.

Marekenshin I can only take a little bit of Beat Crusaders. They're more than slightly mediocre. They just have a handful of songs I really like...the rest doesn't do much for me.

[ If you don't listen to Asian Kung-Fu Generation, then I suggest you start NOW.] heart
[ Number Girl is fantastic, but they dip a little bit into the 'Noise-rock" genre, so I don't know if that's an issue-I reccomend them anyways.]
[ The Back Horn has some great sounds.]
[ Well ...these are just the bands I reccomend based on the fact that you like The Pillows.] xd
