Now why is has this band not been mentioned may I ask? I've only heard a few of their songs, but I quite liked what I did hear. I keep meaning to go find an album, but I never have the cash.

To the guy who thinks they're repetitive and boring, The Norsemen will kill you in your sleep! Amon Amarth are amazing! and deserve respect! it shows you haven't heard their new album....which is full of sweeping melodies........go listen to "With Oden on our Side" now! or they'll rip out your intrails! (That was fun!)

I do indeed love Amon Amarth. They helped me get into death metal a lot. And With Oden on Our Side is awesome. I really like the first tack, Vahall Awaits Me, because it so goes along with one of my favorite book series. So when I listen to the song I always think of the first book.

Amon Amarth are one of my favourite Death Metal bands, despite their shocking technique with guitar (using only 3 fingers).
Pursuit Of Vikings is my favourite song of theirs, it's amazing!

Turbohammaren I dont like their music. Its boring and repetative. I kinda agree with this... Hm, I like them, but I do not think they are as great as people say they are. I love some of their songs (Asator is ******** war metal!), but generally speaking they are too slow and some of their songs are quite repetitive indeed... Gonna see them in 23 days again with Dimmu Borgir anyway razz
