I love 'em! Right now I have Children of Cthulhu and Cthulhu 2000. Children isn't quite as good as 2000, but there's still some awesome stuff. Out of the stories in Children, my favorite thus far has been "Long Meg and her Daughters" by Paul Finch. If I didn't know how horribly dumb it would become, I would totally want it to be turned into a movie. Some of the stories, such as "The Cabin in the Woods" by Richard Laymon, just seem overdone. However, most of them are pretty original without making you wonder how the hell they could be considered to be Lovecraft-themed.
So... They're great, plus Children is almost 500 pages of spine-chilling goodness for just 15 dollars. 2000 is a little shorter for 13 dollars. Buy 'em!

Do they have the same "feel" as Lovecraft stories?

I mean, I've read some Derleth and didn't like the way he "classified" all the creatures...

Do these stories do the same thing?

It depends on the particular story. Some manage to nail "the feel" perfectly, while others simply borrow some mythos creations. The Shoggoths seem to be a very popular plot device. Some of the stories simply had the theme of unspeakable evils, like the "Details" in Children of Cthulhu. A lot of them are just really good reads.
