dead? According to AvatarSpirit and SciFi.com he is. Quote: In another interesting note, further down the article claims that Jet is indeed dead, an issue which has been hotly debated on many forums: "For example, the episode "Lake Laogai" deals with the nefarious Long Feng, who brainwashes Jet and eventually kills him—not the usual stuff of children's shows."

Well there are two things that could have happened. One spin was broken and he could never move agian and his friends put him out of his misery or..... When his friend went to draw his arrow it was to protect them in there escape becuase you don't see him point the arrow at Jet he draws it.

I think (dear gawd I can't remember the silent guy's name right now >.< ) Longshot aiming his arrow at Jet to put him out of his misery would definitely be crossing the line for a show on nick. I kinda saw that scene as Longshot wanted to protect Jet from any guards until Jet recovered enough to at least move or be moved. This question has been bugging me for awhile. Do you think Lake Laogai is Jet's burial site because it was destroyed or do you think Smellerbee and Longshot moved him out in time?

Perosnaly, I think that he's dead. It really wouldn't work to have him come back. The whole series has this theam of "Life happens. Death happens. You can't really change it."
Why the heck are we debating about this anyway? We can't really change it, we just have to assume that if he's not dead, then they'll tell us.
Why are we not morning Longshot and Smellerbee? If Jet died, then they most likely died as well.....

He would have told them to leave him, not only that but they would have had the common sense to leave. By the way, "Mourning" has a "u" in it.

I have a theory. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think that they made him seem dead in the show, and then later, when everyone forgets/gives up hope...etc....he will pop up again. That arrow could've been to kill him, but who knows, maybe it's for a later plot twist.

I suppose if you don't actually see them die, there's always a chance they really aren't dead(I know this from experience. Unless there is a corpse, they're not dead. The authors just love to mess with people.)
But suppose he is alive. He isn't going to be much help for the rest of his life, however long that may be, if he has considerable internal bleeding, organ damage, and many, many broken bones, which would be the effect of being hit as hard as he was, with a massive rock.

I believe that the arrow was to protect Jet from guards. Not to kill him. I thought that was kind of obvious.
