Yes, like any HM, if you don't marry one of the possible canidates, they marry another person.

Yes, it is true. But I haven't seen it for myself. I want to see one of my boy characters on Magical Melody marry Joe. That should be good.

Ray loves Moonstone Ores from the main mine.

But... when do they get married?? I'm already in my 3rd year at Summer in my first file, married and with a walking child.
Do they have to have a certain number of hearts? And do they get children too? X3

I havent seen them getting married, but I've seen them make contact. the one with katie and joe was funny.

Okay, I'll clear this up for you guys:
In the English version of Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, the rivals do not actually get married. Never. You are the ONLY person who gets to marry. That's it. No other marriages~
However, they did leave in the heart scenes for the rivals. I think that's what's throwing people off~
I repeat, nobody else gets married in Magical Melody~

They get married in the Japanese version. But, for some reason, they took out the actual marriages when the game came overseas.
Probably because that would leave only Jamie to marry and doing so ends the game.

In More Friends of Mineral Town, the rivals and bachelors get married.
But you have Won, Kappa, and Gourmet to marry, too.

It'd be awesome if they added some extra bachelor for Magical Melody, too.
And the boy character could've married Nami or someone else.

Hey, guys? Even though they don't show the marriages, I think that I know how to see the afterward of them.
1. See the Rivals in Love thing for everyone.
2. Marry Jaime. (gets hit in the head by random guild member)
3. Watch.
Honestly, this should work. Just don't save after you've proposed to Jaime, and you should be able to run off with anyone. Or at least have a back up file handy.
But I still can't believe that Maria, the mayor's daughter, married Ray, the hobo (no, seriously. The boy doesn't even wear shoes! And he has a rope belt! xp )
Stupid editors. Knock all the fun out of it. cry

It's true. The game designers themselves said that they took out the marriage between rivals. Anyone who tells you otherwise only played the japanese version, or they have no idea what they are talking about. Either that, or they are just creating bad rumors to give people to talk about.
