Sigal wasn't sure if anyone even noticed she was missing. She didn't care, though. That adult...Rendo, that was his name! He had been really making her worry with stories about mountain lions and bears and other things that Daddy said wouldn't hurt them. But she was still worried. And so she had run away, to go make sure that Daddy was really alright. It didn't matter that she didn't know the lands, she was sure she could find him all by herself!

Amira turned suddenly from her current ponderings to stare into the underbrush. "What was that?" she murmured to herself. She listened intently, the silence stretching around her. Suddenly, she heard it again. A soft rustling noise pierced the air. "Whatever it is, it's getting closer."
To her suprise, a few seconds later a pink colored object flew past her on the right. Turning to watch the small blur vanish into the woods, Amira stared in confusion. "Was that Ari's daughter Sigal?"

Nato paced back and forth at the river. After talking with Anjafey, he knew what he had to do. He had to tell Amira about his feelings towards her. But how? He sighed and paced more. Does she feel the same way? Would she reject him? Feeling utterly helpless, Nato plopped down on the river bank and stared up at the moon.

Turning to gaze in the direction that the pink blur had gone, Amira began to think about her options. "Well, I may as well try to follow it...If that was Sigal, Ari is going to be worried." With the thought of her elder's sanity in her mind, Amira set off at a light jog in the direction that the other had disappeared.
As Amira passed through the think underbrush, she had to stop several times to make sure that she was on the right path. Broken branches, pawprints, and indentations in the grass served as her only guide to the little fox's journey. "Why has no one else come after her?" Amira thought out loud. "Shouldn't someone have been watching her?"

Anjafey tore through the forest, trying to reconnect with Sigal's path. She had lost her several minutes ago as Sigal veered off suddenly. Anjafey was still sullen about the black eye she was going to have from running into that tree. Looking ahead, she realized she was running perpendicular to Sigal's path of destruction, and would reconnect with it soon. She sighed in relief; maybe she wouldn't give Ari an excuse to skin her after all.

Rendo ran after Anjafey as it doned on him why he Sigal had left now he was trying to make it up the best way he could which he hadn't found out yet. He then felt tired. Even with a half swollen ear he could tell were things were and he yelled to Anjafey. "Wait...slow down, this collor is a little too tight at the moment..." He begged her.

Uh-oh, she heard something behind her...Maybe it was a mountain lion? Like the one Rendo kept going on about? But Daddy said there shouldn't be any mountain lions around trying to attack her!
Sigal was still really scared, though, hearing whatever it was behind her, and so she managed to go even faster, hoping that she would find Daddy soon, so he could rescue her from the mountain lion she was sure was right on her tail!

After jogging along for several minutes, Amira came to a strange stretch of land, where no trail could be seen. Pausing a moment to try to determine the whereabouts of her little pink blur, Amira caught the sound of something else crashing through the bushes.
Sprinting back the way she came, Amira attempted to head off the other. She raced into the forest, only to run straight into a silent clearing. Feeling disoriented and silly, she got up and began to slowly walk back to the trail that she had been following. Just as she found the trail again and began to resume her jog, she ran straight into another modifox.
Shaking herself off quickly, she stood. Then she realized that she recognized the other. "Oh, Anjafey! I'm so sorry!"

Anjafey ignored Rendo's calling, speeding up to try and catch the speedy Sigal. However, she had been distracted by Rendo's plea, and felt a hard weight bowl her over. Make that a black eye and a bruised jaw Sigal was going to be sorry for. Anjafey stood up, rubbing her jaw. "It's fine, Amira. Are you hurt at all?"
Loki's ears perked up as he heard other foxes crashing through the foliage. At the sound of two colliding, he became concerned, and stepped into their view. He walked over and smiled, bowing his head in acknowledment to Anjafey. "I heard all of the commotion. What's wrong?" His forehead was knitted in concern.

Shaking her head a little, Amira replied to Anjafey's question. "I'm fine, don't worry. However, I assume that your haste means that the little pink blur I was following is Sigal. Right?"
Noticing the new fox fro the first time. She turned in suprise and raised an eyebrow at Anjafey. Then, looking back at the newcomer she stated simply, "I believe that a young pink kit named Sigal has run off. Have you seen her? She was headed in that direction?" Amira motioned to the nearby foliage, in the general direction of the mountain. She hoped that the young kit had not headed up there. There were numerous cevices, ravines, and outcroppings for even the most experienced fox to get stuck on.

Anjafey growled in frustration. "Yea, that was her." Anjafey still looked sullen; she had neevr been given this much trouble by a kit. She was going to kill Rendo for stupid statements later. "Oh, hello Loki."
Loki looked back behind them and shook his head. "I'm sorry Anjafey and...Amira, if I heard correctly. I wasn't facing the right way to see her."

"I'm sorry for not introducing myself. I'm just worried about Ari's reaction." She apologized to Loki, before turning to Anjafey. "I believe that we should start to follow her again. She may be a kit, but she seems to be rather fast. Perhaps you would like to tell me why she ran away, while we give chase."
In truth, Amira was quite suprised about Sigal's recent actions. She believed that Anjafey would have watched the kit closely and taken good care of her. This caused confusion. How did Sigal manage to escape Anjafey's watchful eye? Sighing at her useless thoughts, Amira turned her mind back to the matter at hand. Analyzing several patterns on the ground and some broken foliage, she set out once more to recover the missing kit. Pausing a moment to wait for the others, she found herself hoping that she could learn more about the circumstances on the way.

Anjafey growled lowly. "Blame the fool I call my mate. He started telling her about how mountai nlions could logically hurt Ari while he was off in of his little ...trances I guess. She freaked out and was out of the cave before I could react. She's quick too." She sighed and rubbed her face again. "I was also delayed when I ran into a tree at the last minute. I gave myself a black eye and couldn't think for a few moments." She walked by AMira as she said this, with Loki in front and off to the side, looking to see if Sigal veered off course.

Amira certainly had not expected that. It certainly explained Sigal's panic. The little one was apparently a very devoted little daughter. "Is Rendo searching as well then?" Amira asked curiously. A thought had occured to her that they would cover more ground and perhaps find Sigal faster is more of their tribe was searching. They would probably need all the help that they could get. "Are any of the others aware of what has occured? Perhaps one of us should ask for their assistence." She trailed off here, her attention diverted by something on the ground before her.
Staring with growing apprehension at the trail that Sigal had taken, Amira noticed something new. She had been keeping close watch on Sigal's tracks and pawprints along the area. However, here it seemed as though those prints had been deliberately wiped away. Instead, she saw larger ones, like those belonging to an adult with large claws. "Anjafey and Loki, take a look at this. I think we may have a problem."
