Lunar Ascent: An Air Pirate Roleplay


Setting:
In a world very similar to Earth, there are light particles named Trapar, short for Transparent Light Particles. Trapar is located everywhere, it is mostly in the air, but it is emitted from geysers in the earth itself. A species of animals called Skyfish exist here that can "ride" the trapar with their special light reflecting skin, which allows them to fly. This skin is processed and made into reflection tape, which is used on vehicles to allow flight. A popular sport has emerged from this, from which the skin is placed on a surfboard-like platform and used to ride the trapar waves. This is called refboarding, or lifting.

Mass transportation is done by means of large boats outfitted with reflection tape also called "Airships". Although these are not as fast as ref boards, they have a larger carrying capacity and are usually used for trade and transportation.

Plot:
Of course, wherever there is commerce, there will be people who want to illegitemately gain profit. That, is where Pirates come in, stealing from the merchant ships, pillaging and raiding outposts, and all sorts of racketeering. One such ship, The Devil's Sadness , is famous for having been the only pirate ship to successfully defend itself against the Royal fleet. It's crew consists of colorful characters, some of them without a single drop of seriousness in them. This Rp chronicles their journey from small time skyfish smugglers to their ascension and reign of the skies as the Lunar Armada.

Emily stood at the bow of the ship looking out at the blue skys over the Contenent of Ni-Sai-Tu. Her long puple hair flowed in a southern direction with the wind. Emily raised her hand and a crew member ran to her service.
" Get me my teliscope" Emily said while holding out her hand. The servant took out a long golden tube which was her teliscope. Emily shooed him away and looked out in the skys. Clear as can be; no enemmy ships.. dragons or balrogs around Emily thought as she turned around a full 90 degreese. Clear as can be... Emily paused.
" Shift the sails! We are making a 180 turn to the right. Do it right this time!" Emily yelled to the crew behind her. In a few seconds the were shifting the sails to go in a diffrent direction.

"Hm, I swear I saw Tehira come on, well then, anchor the ship, and make sure he isn't in his cabin, or anything." She sighed. She nevered liked minor setbacks.

He sighed and got out his old refboard, he was the only crew member except for Capt. Emily that had one. He 'surfed' up to the ship, and landed on the deck. "Why do you always leave without me?" he asked Emily. He put up his refboard.

"Oh, by the way, I pillaged a little something from a town nearby." he said, slinging his backpack off his shoulder. He zipped it open and brought out three bags. He handed them to Emily. The bags were full of gold coins, diamond necklaces, rings, etc.

He opened the bag and took out a a necklace with a dragon embelm on it. He put it on, and put the rest of the stuff in his backback. ((The necklace Niki put on was the neckalce in the pic))

Heisei went back to his position to help get the ship ready excited about one day being able to afford a ref board he worked harder
