We all know Dethklok plays with Gibson Guitars, but what do you all think is the best guitar brand? Gibson or Fender? One little s**t in my class in highschool keeps saying, and I quote, "Gibson sucks balls, Fender is the best, that's why Gibson ONLY makes 100 million a year." I told him to ******** himself with his shitty a** Fender guitar, cause that's all it's good for, a freakin d***o. Or as Switzgar would say "oh man, you are one ******** up d***o licker."

I would have to say that Gibson is the winner here. I use to have a Gibson Les Paul Double Cut Away and it was great, but someone ******** stole it...but they didn't take my damn Fender Squire, which I tried to upgrade but it kinda failed...but I just ordered a Carven guitar and I can't wait 'til it gets here.

I'm still a Gibson fan all the way. Fender is only good for guitar accesories, but the actual guitars suck balls. GIBSON RULES!!!

Well, I think that it is pretty stupid that the guy was bashing Gipson, and I also think you are exactly the same for bashing Fenders.
Has anyone taken the time to think that it is all personal preference?
Gibsons are nice, but to be honest, I much prefer the feel of the Fenders neck, and body. I also enjoy the Fender's distinct blues sound. Infact, (sorry Brandon) I prefered the sound I got out of my Fender, to the sound of my friend Brandon's Gibson Double Cutaway. And my Fender is a Squier, so the quality of the wood is a lot less than if I were to buy an actual Fender Stratocaster.
If I put my money into a Fender Strat, with Seymour Duncan Hotrails (like my Squier), I am sure that the sound would be just as good, if not better than a Gibson. But then again, that is all personal preference. I enjoy the blues sound more.
Now, if Fenders suck so bad, I'd like to know why a lot of guitarists use them? You want to know why? It's because it's Apples vs Oranges. Pointless...
My final verdict is... arguing with someone in your class about fenders vs gibson, is poinless. Congrats, you wasted like an hour of your life.

alucard_rules_all_vampire I'm still a Gibson fan all the way. Fender is only good for guitar accesories, but the actual guitars suck balls. GIBSON RULES!!! It's all in who is playing it, and what sound they are going for... I am sure if Fender sucked so bad, that Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Janick Gers, all wouldn't use custom Fender Stratocasters when they played live shows... Not to mention, the tons of other amazing guitarists who play Fenders as well... stare

I personally think its up to the person playing either brand. One my have a different taste or opinion about either brand. It just come down to personal taste.
