“Shri la fins cerast.” A cold voice emanated through the dark abyss. A cold breeze sweeping over the plains as dark clouds clashed above. A slim girl held her shoulders, her expression scared as she began to shiver. “ Nish, nish…Ca cerast…Nish!” she screamed as she put her hands to her ears and collapsed to the ground.

Arira’ly sat up swiftly, her green eyes small with fear as she clutched at her arms and then looked around her room slowly. Everything was as it should be, her dark dresses sitting in the corner, an empty bed where her best friend usually sat, and the curtains of her window opened slowly.
Pulling herself to her feet she moved to the dresser, shuffling through a few items of clothing before pulling out an elegant white top and shorts of a tacky color. Throwing her flowing white nightgown off she dressed swiftly, pulling on a pare of dark brown boots and hurrying down the stairs.
An older woman greeted her with a small nod from the place she was standing, kneading dough and preparing it. “ Where is Ota?” Arira’ly questioned as she dragged her brush through her knotted hair and pulled it up with a white ribbon.
“ She wanted to join the men, the hunt.” The woman said as she put the dough into a small silver tray, covering it with a cloth to let it rise.
Arira’ly groaned, “ She wants to go THERE again?!?” but before the woman could answer Arira’ly had ran out the front door. The dark and cold world of the Underground greeted her eyes, already awaking. She ran swiftly toward a small, dark stable and opened the doors. Rushing in with, giving the horses a startle, “ Rishnare!” she yelled and high whinny touched her ears as a golden bay stuck its head out of its stall door. “ Hey girl! Ready to catch up with Ota?” she questioned as she opened the door of the horse’s stall.
Smiling and letting the horse nuzzle her pocket, hoping for the usual treat and then look up at Arira’ly with an indigent stare. Arira’ly let out a small laugh, “ Later, now.” She said as she pulled herself onto the horses’ bare back. “ We ride.” She said her green eyes flashing as she pushed Rishnare through the back allies of the Underground, avoiding the many people on the main streets. Letting out a small, playful growl as she spotted the group of men, hunters, they where going to the upper world. “ Ota!!!” Arira’ly yelled as she jumped a fence into the court yard.

Ota'loon had woken up that morning with a desire for blood. She had groaned when she realized it was the beast part of her. This happened about twice a month at the least. She cursed that part of her heritage. Her ears twitched when she heard the faint clapping of hooves, 'The hunt,' she had thought, she glanced at her sleeping friend, and quickly left before her desire for royal blood took over her. She sped down the stairs and told one of the cooks that she would be joining the hunt and to let Arira'ly know when wakes up. She had quickly found the men, whom were surprized to see her, "I'm joining you, I have the right." The men exchanged glances and knew it would be unwise to get her angry. Ota smiled a brilliant smile in satisfaction, it caused some of the men to turn away and leave Ota confused. They offered her a horse but said there was no need. The men wanted to grab supplies before the hunt and asked if she would accompany them, she had agreed.
While the men were shopping and flirting with the younger maidens, Ota pondered on how she would get to her kill, and groaned in disgust when she realized one of the men had taken one of the foul beverages she refused to drink, let alone go near, and tried to kiss a young shopper girl.
Children stared at Ota is awe at her hair, ears and tail. She merely smiled.
her ears twitched at the sound of a galloping horse, then heard someone call her name "Ota!" She groaned. She knew Arira'ly would wonder why she would go on the hunt again, but she did not expect her to come after her. She turned and stared at her friends black flowing hair as she approached. Ota's pure silver eyes flashed.

It was a great day..
There weren't many clouds in the sky and the heavenly sea itself emitted a warm, azure glow. The hills were more inviting that day, with their everlasting waves of green grasses swaying with the wind's every dance. This is where a young maiden of sixteen lay, staring high at the empty void above her. While men were out to get supplies for the hunt and others were probably doing work at home, Aqua merely lied around and admired the beauty that natured offered. Nature that everyone took for granted and barely examined.

The elementalist sighed contently and closed her eyes, ready to once again witness the sounds of nature. She had felt them, she had seen them, now she could hear them. Aqua heard the birds, the wind, the leaves..
"Ota!!!"
And the sound of an angrily Arira'ly.
Aqua groaned and rose, then yawned and rubbed her right arm sorely. She looked around, then stretched and turned to the side a little, only to find Arira'ly riding on a steadily galloping horse. Most likely she was looking for Ota'loon. This wasn't the first time this had happened- no way. Aqua saw this every week.
"Let's see how this'll turn out today." the young adult yawned and jumped up, stumbled a little, then brushed off some of the dirt and grass around her. Swiftly, the began to walk towards the scene.

Loon’pröha, better known and other preferred as Loon, a funny name given to her by a strange old man that she had known long ago. The man that had caused her to have so much pain and heartache. The Miftcar. He belonged to the Miftcar and he turned her to the darkness, he had forced his sins upon her, and now she had to pay for it. Why did she deserve such a punishment as this for her eternal anguish. Loon looked to the sky as the bangs of her fire-red hair blew in her face. She set them behind her ear as she narrowed her red eyes. The clouds were worse than ever before, they were a dusty brownish-black color as thunder suddenly roared across the sky. She closed her eyes. She indulged herself in the wind that blew across her body, willing her to move and become one within itself. Suddenly her body caught flame as her body glowed with the red and orange outline of fire itself. Wings spread from her back as she opened her eyes, they were completely red, pupils and all. She knew that this happened often, she knew that it wouldn't hurt, yet something inside of her was afraid to do it, to initiate it. She burst into the sky, not a figure of a human but a fire bird, with rolling wings that spread out longingly to touch the ends of the earth. Her eyes glowed with white power of the guardian, she was once again the figure she so looked up to, the hero that had stayed with her in her dreams, the friend that had comforted her in the abyss of the darkness of the Miftcar. The Phoenix.

“ Why are you going this time?” protested Arira her green eyes fixing with Ota’s silver ones in a slight glare. Dismounting Rishnare she let out a long low sigh and tugged at her hair waiting impatiently for a reply. As she waited she looked cautiously around the street, men with blade and bows sitting chatting with ignorant girls.
Arira’ly let out a low growl as ad obviously drunk man approached her, his dark eyes clouded as he grinned drunkenly, “ You’re a pretty little one, aint ya girly?” he said, his words slurred by his drink.
Arira’ly growled as she formed a fist with her hand. She stood, waiting for him to advance in his drunken and flirtatious manner. Her green eyes flashing a deep blue as she glared at the frivolous man. The man moved to touch her and with a loud and angry cry Arira’ly drew back her fist and hurled it at the man.
Stunned by her powerful blow the man stood, dumbfounded, for a moment. Then his eyes narrowed and he swung an angry fist at Arira. She let out a laugh, mounting Rishnare and pulling Ota up with her. She let out a cry and the two thundered away toward the hills where one of Arira’s older friends was. Arira grinned mischievously and triumphantly as she galloped away.

Aru’rish glared ahead hugging the neck of the large beast he rode, eyes watching as Loon burst into flames and took on the form of her phoenix. He grinned, showing pointed k-9s and carnivorous teeth. Raising his left hand, a large amount of energy forming there, he let out a cry and pounded the sides of La Ota, the beasts rippling from red to silver, the beast let out a long roar as he bounded into the air and unfolded large, demonic wings.
Grinning evilly Aru glanced at Loon, “ What are we doing this time?” he asked his red eyes narrowing with hate.

Loon glanced over at Aru'rish who was smirking as he rode La Ota with pride. Her white eyes glistened at him as she let out the sound of a phoenix. It sounded absolute and wonderful to Loon, like a cry, but like a sad song at the same time. She sent a thought into his head, it was the only way she could talk to her dear friend in her phoenix form.
I don't know...something just seems...familiar about the sky and something...I cant necessarily put it. Do you know the feeling?
Loon looked around as she cried again, the wind flowing against her, trying to stop her at all forces. She looked over the Mist'aranoo, the Miftcar city of darkness with gloom as more thunder roared beyond them both. The fire of her wings and her form trailed behind her as she fell rest upon a broken and battered tree that was nearly destroyed. Something bothered her about this day, but what was it? She turned to Aru, he was still staring at her, she looked away as she sent another thought into his head, Aru, what is the meaning of hate? Why are so many people familiar with it?

The dawn air was crisp with morning dew. The feverish sun had retreated behind the vast mountain range, blanketing the land with a florescent, shimmering shade. A man of sound mind and a keen eye took his place at the foot of a small mound. The soil was fertile and full of life, prospering with lush greenery and producing a visionary perspective of an ideal world. The truth being, none of which was truly the way it had appeared. Death, hatred, and the self impure minds of men prepared for a long confrontation with one another. ; Faeries of the old world silently retreating from the world of man. There was one...feared by all... He was a hero in retrospect, but performed his desirable miracles in ways not considered by most. More than the eye could detect would implore the mysteries of the shadowed figure. His frame tall and lean; built strongly but carefully concealed beneath his onyx robes.

His emerald irises were hard with determination and without strain or misconception. The floral environment did not falter, nor impede his thoughts, rather it strengthened his resolve. A hood drooped over his face, concealing any clear descriptive perception. The details of his face were chizzled with perfection. His skin tone lightly tanned brown; his facial features handsome and smooth.

It had been several hours before the sun completed its revelation to mid-day; soon, the brilliant, vibrant array of colors merged into a solid sapphire, and the heat of summer solstice re-emerged. Again the dark traveler began journey, his rest simply momentary.

He hadn't traveled far before entering the forest life. Large redwood and cider wood consumed his visible sight. The intense blaze of the sun reduced considerably; the vast array of shrubbery and forest life climbed high with every step his took. The small insects of the forest chirped with the excitement of their new guest. With his passing the forest grew deathly still. With the passing of friendly merchants displaying a warm greeting, the man simply passed by wordlessly. The humidity began to fade and the forest life at last parted, in the distance the bustling city life of Tormia now in view...

It was not long before his path had taken him but a few feet from the city; he carefully glanced around, his eyes tracing the endless darkness of the sky before they fell upon the city. Tormia was a bustling city, constructed by the empire of the Old Age, much of which was reconstructed by its predecessor. Mythos despised large cities, his travels encompassed many and it was to his disliking. He paused momentarily, retracing his task and shaking his head solemnly. The Angel at last proceeded forward into the crowds of incoherent and drunken commoners...

The environment was lively, excitement and shouting erupted from every direction. Merchants from around the world made their bids and bargains to one another, laughing and sharing stories and rumors from around the land. Mythos scoffed and continued to proceed to where it was he needed to go, passing the bustling activity until he had reached a calmer portion of the city. It had been close to three hours before he had at last reached the establishment he had been in search of...the Angel stopped and glanced up to the towering building. Distant firelight illuminated some windows as others were darkened for the night...he had finally reached the Guild of Shadows...

The young elementalist kept running towards the others, growing ever more curious as she got closer. The newly heard cries that came to her ears only made her run faster. Curiosity killed the cat, they say...but she wasn't a cat, now was she?
Then again, lions were basically ginormous cats.
And it wasn't her fault that she was from the advanced bloodline of lion shifters. She couldn't help the fact that the dark curse of hidden hate ran in her blood. It was this that allowed the dark-haired girl to shift into a blue lioness at will. Then the curse would sometimes take control and allow that blue feline to turn blood red, enhancing her abilities beyond any level ever imagined.
So...would curiosity kill the cat today?

Aquaro Aloma silently landed not far from the others, then watched the scene before her. She managed not to laugh as the drunken man was punched away in the face, then she turned her attention away to the riders. Once again, curiosity managed to take over, and she closed her eyes to mutter a few words. After a few whisperings a blue fog surrounded her and later revealed a startling blue lioness with a golden star on her forehead, as well as a bracelet neatly wrapped on her left paw and an earring on her left ear. Her emerald green eyes stayed the same.

"This...should be fun." the blue feline chuckled and dashed behind the horse, trotting dangerously close to the galloping mare.

“…Hatred was the common will of man, sorrow and despair spawned new fuel for a forever burning flame. The war of the Old Age had caused grief and pity for all who were involved, but it also brought upon an uncommonly felt emotion, happiness. Although every individual shared the feeling of misery, they had also shared happiness in the hope of a prospering humanity. It had been seven centuries since the Dark Lord had at once plagued the thriving land; it was not until recent years that it yearned to make a last effort to restore what was lost. Precious Mana coursed through the veins of the planet, every energy source replenished from the use of man. Faeries and creed of the Old World now opening their eyes to a world of possible refuge…All of which was a dream lost before recent time. The Gaia in which they truly lived was desolate, stripped of any prospering life; if any were to break through from its place of safety, the darkness would choke the life from it and discourage its bitter effort to exist. This is the true history, from that mark in time that would scar the very land they walk upon, from the darkness that would threaten to destroy their very foundation of life; it is why the Guilds of Riage are established…”

The weather had changed drastically in the time of his travels. He had rested against the building, his head bent in concentration. It had been several hours of waiting before he had shown any interest in entering. The Guild of Shadows was at one time in alliance with the Riage, but their practices had drastically altered through the years. Most had come to know the Shadows to be the Showan; this was namely because of their strong relation to the Legion.

The Angel was careful with his footing as he approached the doorway; the building was weathered from time, the wooden framing weakened from rainfall. Before attempting to enter, the door had unlatched and slid loose from its hinges. Mythos blankly looked into the darkened doorway and continued in. There was a deathly silence and visibility was limited. At first glance, it appeared to be a pub, empty bottles had lined the shelves and insects of life had nested themselves safely in their new homes. Cobwebs had collectively lined the tables and counters and only a faint, single candlelight was burning. It had smelled musty, a stagnant odor of long since activity. He glanced around slowly, his eyes piercing the darkness of every corner. Feeling as though there was no immediate danger, he moved forward to find a table. A candle covered in dust hung loosely above the table; after seating himself he flicked his fingers and the candle ignited.

He loosened his robes and sat back. His eyes traced the vast room until he noticed several items placed upon a shelf. They had been Guild Crests; artifacts from the early time of magic. In passing the legend states that, any member of royal blood that possesses a crest is endowed with immense power. He believed that rumors were burdens often carried by commoners…but some rumors carry truth. He turned his head slightly and grinned darkly,

“…You’ve kept me waiting, a surprising association with your character. Before you ask, I am not here to bring about your demise, simply to collect a valuable asset…” Mythos said.

There was a momentary pause before a raspy, chocked voice responded back
“..We have no association with what you seek. We are but servants of a great power give us no standing for we do not have what you desire…”

The voice was weak and drained of life, but Mythos had no sympathy for weakness. His smile was gone now and there was hard edge to his voice.

“Games are trivial Shade. I care not for excuses or to whom you serve. I have come for the Raishade and if it needs to be obtained by force rather than conversation then I shall do what needs to be done.”

The presence did not respond, a low hiss could be heard before it faded away into the darkness and again the room was silent. Mythos shifted in his seat and smiled faintly.

“…So it begins…”

Loon looked over to Aru in fear, afraid that he might answer too harshly. He was all too familiar with the feeling of hate that ran inside of his blood and couldn't be taken from him no matter what had happened to him. The hate of the Chinta. Had she had known such a thing? She could not remember, the past was too blank and empty. Such darkness, like a fog, clouded her memory, she willed it away, but it rarely listened to her. As she sat on the blackened and burnt branch of the destroyed tree as a phoenix, she looked over the city of the Miftcar, Mist'aranoo. The city was beyond itself, light showed no pity upon the place. She asked herself the same question that over the years had become more useless, Am I to suffer from the curropt and untried? Yes, she had thought, there is nothing to save me now. Except maybe Aru. He was filled with too much hatred. She looked to him again, was this really what had become of her?

Thunder roared once again as lightning filled the heavens with eternal bliss. She had changed back to her regular form of a weak human, her body sprawled across the thick branch, trying to balance herself evenly. She thought about light and darkness. Were they really that different? One could not survive without the other. So simple...yet...complicated. Which is right? And how am I supposed to know? If only I could remember of what I was before I lost the only thing that I really treasured....my memory.

Ota was about to answer before she saw Arira'ly swing her fist at a drunken soldier. Then next thing she knew she was pulled onto a horse, galloping away. Ota groaned, she could move much faster the horse, even if she had Arira'ly on her back. " Arira! Arira where are you taking me?" there was no answer. Ota's ears twitched when she heard the clicking of claws in the stone paved streets. 'Aqua' she thought.

They too soon rode to a hill with a lone tree at the top. The tree was crooked and the branches were low enough that one could easily jump and would catch hold of the branches. The blossoms had begun to bloom over night. They were purple at the petal's tips then faded into a very light pink in the center. AS soon as they were by the tree Ota jumped of the horse and glared at Arira'ly, " Why did you come after me? You know I go on those hunts as much as possible. Do not ask me the reason for that is my own." she said as she turned her head to the still rising sun, her hair shimmering a blinding light.

Arira’ly let out a cold laugh as she dismounted Rishnare and held her fist to her side, very tempted to hit her friend as well. “You’re so foolish.” She said as she moved to sit under the tree. Letting out a slight growl she looked annoyed at Ota, “Do you not remember our promise? You promised me you would stop running off without telling me! And I told you if you did and I woke in time to catch you I would.” Aira’ly said, half wanting to stick out her tongue. Blowing a loose strand of hair from her face she watched as Aqua came after them.

Standing she glanced behind her for but a moment before climbing onto one of the tree’s lower branches and seating herself comfortably. “And if you don’t want to tell me your reason, fine. Just remember my mother could have you thrown out of our house…And how she wants to, it’s only my being friends with you that stops her.” Arira’ly said in a spiteful voice.
_______________________
Aru’rish didn’t answer for a moment as his eyes flashed with slight anger, cooling his fiery temper he looked at Loon, eyes shinning, “ You know my answer all to well…But….I will give it.” He said as he entwined his hand into La Ota’s mane and shifted so he was more comfortable on the beast.

“ My answer to such a question is that it is the darkest part of one’s soul that surfaces only in dark times and the part that one and others near to one must fear..” he said, his red eyes staring blankly to the distance.

Soon his eyes where torn away from Mist’aranoo commanding La Ota to extend his wing and catch Loon. He slid off o La Ota as the large beast caught Loon with one of his leathery wings. Grinning very slightly he offered his hand to Loon. “Does the lady need some help?” he asked, his grin sly but happy.

The azure-colored lioness swiftly dashed along the mare, her eyes glared and focused. If the horse -or the rider, at that- were to strike, Aqua was ready, always anticipating every move that would come after hers. If the horse would turn left, she had moved to that spot three seconds earlier. If it would turn right, she would have already been there moments before. Aqua just knew that the moves were quite predictable.
Finally, the two seemed to stop near a beautifully tinted tree. The young feline tilted sideways, skidding around forty five perfect degrees before coming to a halt not far from the duo. She sat by the giant plant for a while, then sighed and stepped out in hesitation.

The big cat looked up to the others, her tail gently swinging behind as she stepped forward. Aquaro Aloma grinned slyly, revealing those ivory-colored fangs of hers. This was merely but a smile, although in the wild within her own race, this would have been taken as a threat or a challenge. Now Aqua...she was just smiling.
"Nice to spot you two again." she chuckled and rubbed her forearm, then chuckled even more as a blue cloud swirled around her and she once again transformed into a human. "That horse of yours gets faster every day, Arira..."

Your Mother knows very well that I have my own persona things to tend to like she does. And don't forget that I'm also your bodygaurd," Ota leaned against the trees trunk and smirked," alothough I find it hilarious when your mother trys to pitifully attempt to sweep me out of the house. And I told a maid to tell you that I'd be out! I just didn't want to wake you!"
her head turned when she heard Aqua speak," Ah it is good to see you as well, Aqua! how have you been?" She extended her hand, but it started to shake, she quickly put it down and prayed that this greeting would be done soon.

She needed to hunt before her fangs met a neck.

Loon looked to Aru and smirked mildly as she rose a brow to him and replied, "Do not worry, the lady doesn't need any help from the gentleman." She smiled again as she laughed softly. She looked at him again and sighed as she shook her head at his innocence, yet his ability to seem masculin at the same time.
But she continued to question him, "Do you remember when you were a boy Aru-when you were little? I wish I could, it all seems like darkness, just consuming what I had left years ago...but...I guess its different now." She kept talking, "I have hate...only sometimes though. I have hate of the darkness, yet I cannot escape it. It seems as though I never will." She paused as she continued, "I am a Guardian of the Darkness, why must I protect it, when I hate it?"
"That is my connection with hate. Something so unhappy, yet so familiar and seems to decieve us into being it's friend." She continued looked to Aru in question.
Suddenly she looked off into the distance of unfamiliar yet familiar territory of the Miftcar land. Something she saw in the distance attracted her attention-but what was it? It looked like some kind of light-yet unless her eyes decieved her she saw it move. Was there life on the outside world?
