Has any one read the books, "Dark Heart" and "The Death Gate Cycle(series)" both by Margaret Weis. If not, you should read them both.

i have its good but not as good as the dragons in our midst series it was the books that got me into reading

I suggest reading Dragon DelaSangre, I cannot find the second/third (cannot tell which it is) of the series but the first one is good in itself.

heart the DragonRiders of Pern series is an excellent set of books.

Ditto that, Luci. Dragoonriders or Pern RULE.
Also, check out Dragon Spell and Dragonquest (not the DRoP version) by Donita K. Paul

I've read lots of Dragon books.
The Dragonlance series is definatly a good book, although at time there is a very limited mention of dragons, they're still good.
I've also read Eragon and Eldest (The sequal to Eragon). Those were good books and I can't wait till my order of the movie arrives ^^
But the best dragon books I've come across so far are
The Fire Within, Ice Fire and Fire Star - all by Chris d'Lacey.
