In a bad mood meditation/concentration the other day, I tried finding and unlocking a certain thing in my soul... I found it and then began the opening part... I used visualization at first, and in that moment I realized I constantly associate energy with something else sweatdrop and thus I subconciously presume that energy IS that something else...and.. a quote I'd like to use "It's not what we know that hurts us, it's what we presume to know"-(I forgotthe author), and so I stopped perceiving energy as what I THOUGHT it was and let myself figure out what it was and then the thing I was unlocking popped open and my body tingled for a while, then I was tired, and... that's my story of how I opened an energy reserve inside my energetic body, or soul, thingy.

I think you done good, but I voted Un-cool for the sake of being contrary. ^_^

I didn't post for the sake of ME learning, I wanted to teach you... and ask, if anyone else over-used visualization and never tried your OWN technique sweatdrop

I tried that and went to psipog... they taught me stuff that sam cursed at psipog for.,,, and I felt mentally unstable, then sam said he clearned my energies and etc. I could think and reason, and I stopped following and started doing my own thing, that's it...
I'm wondering if this is a contagious corruption and whether it is or not, whether it should be neutralized or spread... very confusing stressed

And I'm just wondering whether it's bad to teach people how to visualize or not...

Isn't hedge magic just another way of saying, "Yeah, the available info didn't work for me, so I came up with a way to do it that made sense for me"? Much like pursuit of the Tao, there's no harm in letting other people know how you approached an issue and why you think it worked. The harm comes when someone else decides that's the *only* way, and that any other way is "wrong". And, as with most things, if you share a way that was actually harmful to you without realizing the harm, then the onus is on the people paying attention to your advice to notice that something is not on.

That said, way to go on the realization! Insight is always good.

Oh yeah, and the visualization thing *never* worked for me. I decided it was relying to heavily on left-brain classifications, so I paid attention to sensations instead.
