Thought we could have a thread to discuss Gaia 3nodding
What do you guys think of the donation items lately? I think since they stopped making angelic/demonic items, they've really gone downhill. I think they're clutching at straws for ideas...they seem very random. I like the weapons as items, and I think so do alot of people, and they should work on it more. But they seem to be producing similar items over and over and just changing them slightly...like armour and scarves and halos...it's getting a bit boring now sweatdrop
Feel free to share any opinions on any elements of Gaia 3nodding

I too feel that the donation items are going downhill. Whenever I joined Gaia a year ago, the very first item I ever wanted was a Staff of the Angels and then my friend sold me one for 70k very recently because they were too expensive in the marketplace. They've been focusing on animals and event related stuff like that, I liked the whole Solar and Lunar theme though.
I'm not too happy with this quiz for the 4rth anniversary though. I've only been on Gaia since January 12th 2006, but I didn't want to have to read through all the past mangas to answer the quiz and get the event items, I don't think it's very fair.

I think the whole thing about the donation items is true though. All the items are supposed to contrast one another.

I think that recently inflation has gone through the roof... like my ninja band, high 700k which is insane... I bought mine for 7k a few years ago.
and how you get gold now is more than likely the reason for this. And recently the item quality has gone down.

I think Gaia in general has been going down hill for about a year and a half, now.
And what sucks most about the donation items / new regular store items is that there are SO many petitions for items on here and they just get ignored! I have signed at LEAST 15 petitions for different items and different lines of clothing, each of which already had at least 300 other signers.

@aquila - I agree with you that the quiz was rubbish. If it's supposed to bre rewarding people who've been here a long time then that's all well and good but people can be still loyal to Gaia without having been here a long time. I hardly knew any of the answers because although I use Gaia every day, I don't pay any attention to the storylines, cause it's rubbish rolleyes
@Protoman - Agreed..the items are supposed to contrast...now they are hardly even alike...and if you look at other avatars, the most popular items that people still want are the older ones...people get bored of the new ones..for example..you don't see many people wearing the armour now...and I can't even remember the rest sweatdrop
@Kimi - inflation is ridiculous. I'm glad I bought my pitchfork and horns when they were only 8k xp I bought a katana at 11k I think, and I was going to get another one a couple of weeks ago, until I found out they are 80k...gaians are so greedy...if people refused to pay those prices they would be forced to make them cheaper.
@Wolfsberg - There are some petitions that have been around for ages, and it doesn't look like the mods are listening, because the donation items they bring out aren't even similar to the petitions..

I think for me, it went downhill when Alamoria left.. even though hes kinda back, it doesn't make a difference.

Shadow__Dweller Neitsabes Oh hush young ones, any site gets worse as it gets more popular, so gaia has been in decline since I joined, I remember oldbies complaining when I was a newbie 3nodding I've been on Gaia 3 out of the 4 years, with different accounts (this is my third one) but it's got worse within the last year 3nodding Well I've been with gaia for three of the four years as well, with only this account, and the only reason people notice it mroe is because there's mor eoldbies, more middle gaians, and more noobs, each number increasin in size rapidly, also the fact that gaia has to grow faster, meaning it's not getting crappier, it's just changing, and since most people don't like change naturally, I believe you're all confusing the term "getting worse" with "Changing"

Well do you think it's any better than when it started?
I hate the way some people post in the feedback forum as soon as something changes going "it's s**t, it's s**t, the mods are crap"...people forgot there are millions of members on Gaia and the mods can't do everything at the same time.
However, I think that they are trying to make Gaia better. there are some things which are better, like games and towns, even though I don't use them cause I don't like them...they have made Gaia better..however..there are some things which have gone downhill too. Such as the items..I know they're trying to make them better, and they are in some ways...they have more positions and they are better drawn, but they seem to be coming up with the "same" ideas over and over..like scarves etc. and they also don't seem to listen to people's petitions since the items never reflect what the people are asking for.
While Gaia has to change to keep up with the times and appeal to new people..it also needs to appeal to old members too..because it's useless getting more new members if the old ones are leaving.

I've been on gaia for a total of 3 years and I can see how much it's changed since I joined . I hate the way the chatterbox has gone downhill in my opinion, it used to be such a fun thread.
Towns is definetly great, I enjoy exploring and catching bugs and stuff , of course it'd be nice if we could do something with them besides trade them in or sell them. I'm stil waiting for the battle area that was promised to us quite a while ago though...anyone know whatever happened to that promise?
