I am deeply angry about Mother's attitude.

She and the others have reaped what they have sown. And she has the NERVE to blame US?

Some of her children will be missed, both those who have passed away and those who will be leaving.

But I feel no sorrow at Mother's departure.

I have mixed feelings on this.
I honestly don't know what to say. The only thing I can think about is what would the future hold? Hopefully mother does not turn on gaia, although it seems she just wishes to leave gaia and be done with it, who knows what a mother could do.
I know if my daughter Tesla died, I would have destroyed those who killed her.
I would do everything to make it up for her, even if destroying everything isn't solving the problem.

As a mother, I ask you all to keep up your guard anyway. Do not turn back. Never underestimate the power of a mother losing her child.

Even though she seems like this, she's very much hurting inside.

Here's the manga which put me on the verge of crying: http://www.gaiaonline.com/newsroom/index.php?type=manga&id=984135211&start=0#reading

I'm speechless at the moment. That's it....they're gone.

Needless to say, we've got to start asking ourselves what we should do since they seem to have left.

Will they return with hostile intentions?
Will they return with good intentions?
Should we have an 02 memorial?

Something worth noting: THE PORTAL IS STILL HERE.

The manga is really depressing... And I thought it was 02 who died...

I agree with you, we should keep our gaurd up but I also think that Mother and the remaining others are gone for good this time.

+--It can't possibly just end like that.... I refuse to believe they just left. With 09! To think.... I can't believe this... outrageous twist! 02 was so... Juvenile and naive. No, it's not over. They may have left, but it's certainly not over. --+

I wouldn't put too much stock in this event returning, round two, clash of the titans. An ending that abrupt is the kind of thing a writer does when he wants something to die and stay dead. For those who don't know, we call this a Deus Ex Machina, or a God of the Machine (after a loose translation). The general idea of the Deus, is to end plots that just keep going on and on.

The "Let's fly away and never come back!" is prime Deus material. This plot will likely never see the light of day again.

By the way, I feel I oughta' mention this...

Congratulations, Gaia! You finished your first plotline! Hooray!

What's next? Maybe Ian gets out of the hospital? Just kidding, that ain't never happenin'.

+--But there is too much left unsaid! I vote any of the agents who live in California should help me storm into the Gaia office! Oh, and Ian's out of the hospital.--+

I'm a bit annoyed with Mother's attitude, but I can understand, or at least guess, a bit of why she acts like she does. For some people, when they hurt a lot, they just want to leave from the problem as fast as they can, and it would hurt even more to take the blame.

I am going to miss the Zurg, especially dear 02. (can there be Zurg zombies?) And I guess there is one good thing- at least Mother is leaving, instead of deciding to destroy Gaia, who she blames.

I do agree with Gambol up there though-- the portal is still here. I don't think the Zurg plot will completely end quite yet- not with all these loose ends. 3nodding

(but then again, this is gaia's storyline, which is full of loose ends from years ago. sweatdrop )

Ah, zut. J'ai desolé.. Un errol typographique, je pense.
J'entendaies a ecrivent "Ian a retournéras tous le boutique." Encore, desole.

Translation:
Oh, s**t. My bad. I think I just ******** up on the writing thing, dawg.
I totally wanted to say "That b***h Ian gets his black a** back to his ghetto store." Damn.

(Well, loose translation anyways)
