My Friend Just got Hacked. She was new, She was working up gold, She almost had her Dream Avvi, She had it all stolen away. Some jerk (or jerkette) thought I't'd be a blast to hack some new persons account and take everything they had. And if that wasn't enough, they spent all her gold on usless junk that she can't sell to get back all her gold. not only does she have to start all over, but now she has to start over in fear of being hacked again. Changing her password won't save her forever, sooner or later that jerk might come back and figure it out again.
That sucks. That REALLY sucks.
Hackers that get everything by ripping other people off, and theres like no way to track them, to tell who just hacked you.
I got hacked once, but I knew the guy (believe me, he got a piece of my mind) And I didnt lose anything... so I dont really know what It feels like to lose all the stuff you worked for... All I do know
Is that it must suck real bad.
(I didnt know where exactly to put this, but I hope it makes some impact here)

The main reason for hacking is by giving your password to somebody else. Also, if you put in a password that is easy enough for other members to know, then you are more likely to get hacked. For example, putting words and/or numbers like Donut, 666666, Purple, and other easy-to-use passwords make hacking other user accounts easy as a walk in the beach. To counter this, make up a REALLY hard-to-get, but easy-for-you-to-remember password to ward off potential hackers.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that you guys got hacked. I have never been hacked, but yeah... only one person is allowed to hack my accounts, and that person is Merrin Spicer (my other account). Other than that, everyone leaves my accounts alone.

I am hoping that all the new warnings that Gaia has posted about never giving out your password will help users in the future avoid that particular scam.

Never ever fall for scams or pm's that requests for passwords..Real Admin, Mods, etc..never asks for personal informations like that..In addition, do not trust anyone who will borrow your stuff and give it right back..That's another scam that you have to beware of..A friend of mine learned that lesson the hard way. Hope your friend gets back on their feet. Have a nice day.
