Okay. So.
I really like childrens cereal-- you know, Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, Ciniman Toast Crunch, and all the other kinda stuff.
Plus, cereal is very convenient for me, because I can never seem to get out the door fast enough, and cereal is filling for a couple hours.
Since I go to school at 7:20, and school starts at 8:00, cereal is extremely convenient. Even if I don't have time to eat it at home, I can always take a bowl, plastic spoon, and my cereal in a bowl, and buy some milk at school, and eat it before school starts.
Except... I realized how unhealthy childrens cereal is. D:
And I don't have time in the morning to make myself a healthy gormet meal.
I was wondering if anybody could recomend any really good healthy cereal? ^^
Sometimes I like to eat Smart Start, or Special K, but I really hate Cherios (except for the berry one.)
Or maybe there are some other breakfast foods which are quick and easy to prepare, but are healthy too?

I eat all my cereal with soymilk too, but thats personal prefference.

Instant Oatmeal -the flavored kinds- with Fiber-One -or any All-Bran cereal- is really good. I usually make the oatmeal, and then add the cereal.
I usually eat that. Or Rice Krispies with fruit. xP Or just plain Rice Krispies. xD

I don't like regular milk, so I get Soymilk. Honestly, I've had NO asthma issues since I switched. :B

If you like fruit, you could have a fruit smoothie. They taste EXCELLENT.
You can have plain oatmeal with skim milk, but you can sweeten it with Splenda (or another sweetener you like) and Cinnamon. It gives something that's normally bland alot of flavor. I think you put it in the microwave for 1:30 minutes.
Also, it may sound lame, but I think that Fiber One tastes really good.

I know it sounds weird, but if you like eggs, you could always boil some eggs the night before. They keep well for several days, so you can cook them and take them with you when you want them...

Thank you! :}
I love the instant peach oat meal. xD
I'll go put that on the grocery list.

Oshii-chan If you like fruit, you could have a fruit smoothie. They taste EXCELLENT. . My mom doesn't let me touch the blender. (( She thinks I'd make a mess)).
But thank you for the idea. =D
And-- in your smoothies, do you use milk or ice?

Well, unless the idea sounds yucky to you, why must you eat breakfast foods? I am not a fan of most breakfast foods, so I don't really qualify "oh that's a breakfast food!" or "I only eat those for dinner," I just have meals through out the day, and then there is a lot more variety to pick from!

oatmeal! I cook a bowl of quaker quick oats with boiling water and then add raisins for sweetness instead of sugar and it is highly yum.
hardboiled eggs are also yummy. I agree you can eat any food you want in the morning. Sometimes I have a turkey sandwich.

Kix looks and tastes like a kids' cereal, but it's actually got less sugar and fat, and more fiber, than most adult cereals. It's got more fiber and less fat than Grape Nuts, in fact.
Try cereal bars and a 'juice' box (of juice or of soymilk). You can take those with you and eat them at your leisure in the bus, on the train, or once you get to work.
A piece of fruit and a glass of milk. Quick, easy, tasty.
If you have one minute, you can cook an egg. Drink your milk while the pan heats up to high heat, then toss the egg on for a minute or less, flip, and eat.
Breakfast burrito. Make it the night before, then heat it in the microwave for about one minute.

I cut out a lot of calories and all of that when I chose Slimfast for breakfast. Their Optima shakes are only 190 calories, and FILL YOU UP. Seriously.
I'm not on the Slimfast diet, it's just a VERY convenient meal replacement that has so so many vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc. <3

Those Nature Valley bars (I like the oats & honey or peanut butter ones) are really tasty and healthy. Not sure if they were intended to be a breakfast food or not, but they work. whee
