Felwarrin, now full grown (though in body more than mind) lay on his back at the edge of the forest, right where the pine trees began to wane. Snow covered the entire forest, hanging off the trees like frosting and covering the usually pristine green ground in its icy embrace. The fox-like male was wriggling around, trying his paw at "snow-angels" as he heard a few other younglings call them. Standing up quickly and shaking the snow out of his russet fur he looked at the sloppy mess.
"That's an angel?" He asked aloud. He had taken to talking to himself, since not many others seemed to interested in the strange kitsu. When he was younger the others seemed concerned that he was alone, but were soon scared away by his desperation for contact and comfort. It was a cruel cycle, and one he couldn't seem to stop.
Shaking his muzzle in disappointment at the pathetic shape his flailing had caused, he sat down again and looked over the ground. All the usual things that had kept him entertained growing up were gone. Counting grass, befriending beetles, smelling flowers. Now it was all dead beneath this horrible -snow- stuff. Slumping a little, he wondered if it would even come back, having never been educated on the comings and goings of seasons.

Plumeria had managed to get herself lost on her way back towards the Realm HQ. Now she found herself in a forest, and quiet frustrated. She was horribly cold as well, and shivered as a gust of wind blew against her. Flowers don't do well in the snow and ice, not at all... and neither did she.
Blowing a puff of breathe into the air, she watched as the white mist rose, then sighed. The snow was beautiful, but her toes were wet and freezing? She came up under a pine tree and leaned against the trunk. Taking turns with lifting her paws for a bit... although it didn't really seem to help much. She eventually laid down under the branches... curling up in a snowless patch that was covered in needles.

Felwarrin's ears pricked as he heard the distant crunch of approaching paws. Looking up and around quickly at a new potential friend, he stood excitedly, ears perked forward as he looked around. Movement was ahead and to his left. Taking a few steps forward his saw color and flowers curl up under a pine tree, alone and seemingly cold.
He danced in a circle with happy anticipation before bounding off after the pink bundle. Stopping inches from the lovely visage, the young male beamed and pranced in place for a moment, unable to contain himself. She was so -pretty- and she was covered in -flowers-! He -loved- flowers!
"Hi!" He said a little too loudly. Catching himself he lowered his tone a little... just a little, "Hi! My name is Felwarrin! Are you lost? You're very pretty!"

All Plumeria could do for several moments was just stare at the foxy male in surprise as he bounded up to her and seemed to have a barely restrained sort of hyperness to him. She slicked her ears back shyly, a little nervous... but eventually spoke. "Um... hello. Yes... I'm lost.. and uh.. thank you." So much to answer to all at once!
The flowered girl didn't really know what to make of this fellow. He seemed to be rather friendly, perhaps overly so. "My name.. is Plumeria" returning her name finally. Atleast she wasn't alone out here anymore.. perhaps he could point her in the direction of the Realm.

He didn't notice how she seemed taken aback by his over-enthusiastic nature, but he did manage to calm down enough to stand still... his feet anyway. His tails were flailing about in a chaotic manner, "I can take you back to HQ! It's not far from here! Wow, Plumeria is a pretty name, it really suits you! Are those the kind of flowers that you have on you?"
He leaned in and pressed his nose against the flower on her forehead, "Mm, you smell like a flower too!" He stepped back and beamed, proud with himself for finding a new potential friend.

Poor Plumeria... a deep blush crept up into her ears, turning them bright red against her pink fur as his nose was pressed against her forehead. "Er..." Now she was just embarassed... and the girl didn't really know how to respond.
"Uh.... I um... appreciate... thanks." Though she didn't move... still blushing furiously. This Kitsu was very strange indeed! This was the first time any had approached her in this fashion, and Plumeria didn't really know what to do with herself.

"Come on now, Plumeria! Plumer... Meria! Can I call you Meria? Come on, I'll take you to HQ and they'll for sure know what to do with you!" He backed up, completely unaware of her current state of confusion and embarrassment.
He turned and took a couple steps, then looked back to see if she was following yet or not, "Come on, pretty Meria!" He smiled ever so sweetly at her.

Still blushing furiously... Plumeria eventualy crept out from under the tree to follow him. She simply couldn't refuse, no matter how strange he was. He knew the way back to the HQ.. and while he didn't specify which one.. she'd take either over being stuck out here in the snow. Again, the female Kitsu shivered as the cold air hit against her pink form. "Um.. sure... I'm coming..." she said softly, eventually padding after him.

Not even knowing there was anything beyond the mountain he began to lead the way. On a chance glance back he saw her as she shivered. Frowing with concern he turned to walk next to her, rubbing against her a little in the hopes of letting her borrow his warmth. It made sense to him, and he had heard other Kitsu's do that to each other, so certainly she wouldn't mind, right?
"I'm always outside so I guess I'm just more used to the weather." His fox fur was also thicker than her summer coat and kept him warmer, "I'm sorry you're cold, let's get back to HQ quickly and maybe they have something warm to eat!" He nudged against her again.

Again she was surprised as he came up next to her and pressed his side against her own. Plumeria blushed some more, and looked away.. although a soft smile crept up on her muzzle. That was... certainly very considerate of him. "Thank you..." she whispered quietly, the girl being so painfully shy. She did feel warmer though. Perhaps he wasn't so weird after all.
She tried to pick up her pace a little bit, especially at the mention of food. She could use some right about now.. something to fill and warm her belly.

"So Meria, I haven't seen you around here before, not that I've seen all the other kitsu's around here but I like to think that I've seen most of them but on top of that you don't seem like a winter type, so what were you doing outside?" He chattered to her for a bit, not really pausing to let her answer until he realized he wasn't getting responses and came the conclusion that he just didn't know when to stop. So... he paused and forced himself to wait for her response, probably stammering. He wondered if she had a speech disorder or if she was really that cold.

Maybe both.. Either way, Plumeria blinked in amazement as he talked seemingly endlessly. She didn't know anyone could talk that much, but she didn't really mind.. considering she didn't like to talk all that much herself. When he finally paused to allow her to speak, she hesitated.. but soon offered an answer. "Well... I got lost..." she admitted, her body still shivering a bit. "I was trying to find my way back to the Realm."

"The realm?" He tested the foreign word in his mouth, "I've never heard of that, but I'm sure that HQ has and they will surely be able to find a way back there for you, after you eat and drink of course. I think they have beef stew today which is my favorite there's so many flavors it's amazing and it's really tender but chewy. Do you like beef stew?" He asked, once again forcing himself to pause, even resisting calling out as he saw HQ come into view through the tree's. It wouldn't be a much longer walk. He hoped she wouldn't leave him the moment other kitsu's came along... like the other friends he had made.

If that happened, it wouldnt' be intentional anyway. She merely kept along with him, trying to stay at his pace as they approached the HQ. She was eager to get inside and get warm, out of the snow. "I've never tried it..." she admitted yet again, "Is it good?" Honestly.. if it was warm and filling.. she would probably love it.

Felwarrin skipped a little, shocked and excited at the same time, "You've never had beef stew before? Wow, it's so amazing! It's the best thing ever! It's got meat, and all kinds of yummy vegetables that fall apart in your mouth with a thick soup like stuff that's sooooo flavorful and good tasting and it's served all good and steaming!" Coming up on HQ Felwarrin hopped up the stairs to the porch excitedly, leaving Plumeria's side, then turning to look back down at her, grinning happily.
"Come on up, Meria! You'll get to see for yourself how GREAT it is!" His three tails swished excitedly.
