About the Tribe
Lunarie are part nocturnal, and part diurnal, since most of them get up around the middle of the day, and go to sleep in the middle of the night, because, to the Lunarie, the night is the most important time, for the important parts of life, such as marriages, naming ceremonies, funerals, hunting for scarifies, making sacrifices, and so forth, so such things can be done under the watch of the moon. However, some believe that all of life, apart from events such as those, is trivial, and are mainly diurnal, while others believe all of life is important, and are mainly nocturnal.
Because the moon is so important to the Lunarie, the new moon is considered the most unlucky day, and is therefore a day of rest, while the fool moon is the most lucky. However, their tattoo is of a crescent moon because the full moon is too sacred to make an image of it, and the crescent moon tattoo is aesthetically appealing, as something sacred should be.
They worship the moon because it is cold, calm, and distant like the tribe, and rarely interferes with the lives of tribe members, but they still pray to the moon and make sacrifices to stay in favor.
(Stuff in brackets might interfere with what Saph has planned for higher beings, so it might get taken out.)
[They believe that the fox who lives in the moon can take any shape or gender, and the only identifying factor is the beauty or handsomeness, since the fox in the moon will even change his or her mods.]
They sleep most often in caves so they are warm in winter and cool in the summer, but it is not rare for them to sleep outside in clearings or by the lake in spring or fall.
Pups are important tot he tribe, but they are not coddled--they are treated like adults in miniature, and they are expected to respect adults, learn from their mistakes, and be fairly mature.
Rarely are foxes outright expelled from the tribe, but tribe members are not afraid to mention if many of them think a fox does not share their mindset of calmness. Only traitors, and those who have demonstratively angered the Moon Fox (by the Moon Fox physically coming to reprimand the member) are kicked out.
Betrayal is currently defined as aiding enemies in times of conflict. However, the Elder can change the definition to include more offenses if he or she feels the need.
They are mostly a peaceful tribe (resulting from their overall calmness), and while they may debate with one another, or, more rarely, argue, they almost never physically fight with one another in earnest. Play fighting amongst the pups is not counted in this, since the pups' teeth and claws are not grown in yet, and they can barely hurt one another. With pups, it is also almost always obvious when they are seriously fighting, and when they are merely playing. The pups are allowed to play fight because it is fairly good training for them, so they can be good hunters when they grow up. Some adults also practice their physical skills by "play fighting", and, while this is not exactly forbidden, something of a more violent nature is not exactly encouraged, either, and so the more violent adults of the tribe often try to keep their "play fights" a secret.
Lunarie are not very social with other tribes, but they do not dislike other tribes because of their foreignness, either. For example, so long as the other tribe asks permission, and promises not to steal any food, destroy anything the Lunarie have made, and other things of that sort, they are allowed to pass through Lunarie territory.
The Lunarie do have their own territory, but they often move about it, as a full tribe, or in smaller family groups, so their life style can be vaguely nomadic. However, others prefer to simply stay in one place the entire year, and they are allowed to do that as well.
The Lunarie lands encompass quite a lot of territory, the main features of which are a rather large lake, a river that sprouts from that lake, both of which are surrounded by a forest, but of the slightly thinner variety, that is full of large and small clearings. Beyond the forest to the east is a vast open plain, the end of which is one end of the Lunarie territory. To the north and west of the forest are mountains, marking those boundaries of the territory, and to the south two rivers, the second of which marks the south edge.

The Modifications The official tribe tattoo is of a dragon holding a crescent moon, to honor the moon, and the most important constellation to the Lunarie, which they call Drache. They use Drache to navigate by, since the "head" of the dragon points to the mountains in the north. Tribe members are forbidden from getting any mods that are sun, fire or destructive related. If your fox has a question about whether a mod would be acceptable or not, have him or her ask Ari or Kazuki.
