As you probably know, we had a GIB meeting in Towns on Saturday. Sorry to all those who could not attend.
Anyway, we made a few key decisions at the meeting that I will now share with you.
Most decisions had to do with our visibility or our level of plot involvement, which are strongly interconnected.
Ever since we "went underground" and became LAWLS Inc., we've dropped further and further from the public eye. While this made certain things easier, it was voted in the meeting that we should increase our visibility and let people know that the GIB is still around.
So, in order to do that, a few policy changes are in order.
1. UniformThe uniform is one of the most distinctive things about our organization. You can tell right off: If you see someone in towns wearing a suit and sunglasses, they are either a GIB agent or pretending to be one.
Therefore, it is now mandatory that you wear
the uniform, or some variant of it.Let dark suits and sunglasses fill the forums and towns once more.
2. Badges/ID cardsPlease resume using your ID card in your signature. Please also rig it up so that when clicked, it will show a list of what guilds you are in, so that your membership in the GIB cannot be questioned.
Those who wish to still use LAWLS ads may still do so, but please include your ID card also.
3. Introduce yourself properlyWhen conducting investigations in Towns or in the forums, please introduce yourself in a way that makes it clear you are from the GIB. For instance, if I were to run into a UFO in towns, I would say something like:
"Greetings. I am Agent TIM of the GIB. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?"
Etc.
4. Be activeWe need a strong GIB presence in places other than our GIB guild and threads. So I strongly encourage you to participate in and create discussions in the GCD, the UFO forums, the resistance forums, Towns, etc., all while having your uniform and ID card on full display.
5. Interact with NPCs.Do your best to get to know the NPCs. Those that are in close with them are there because they were persistent.
That is all for now. I will make more annoucnements concerning the meeting soon.
