Gambino Mansion Where once stood the estate of the Von Helson family now stands the Gambino Mansion, transplanted all the way from Isle de Gambino. Gambino Mansion itself has specially designed rooms meant to accommodate leisure activities of a various kinds, along with a hall, two or three salons or drawing rooms, dining room, breakfast room, morning room, study and numerous bedrooms. However one often finds the place short of bathrooms, often only two or three in a place of 20 plus bedrooms. In addition to the principal bedrooms would be far more for the staff usually on the uppermost or attic floors. It also boasts a conservatory, greenhouse, an indoor swimming pool, and an arts & crafts room with extravagant north-oriented windows. There is even a large room to house a private library, while at the same time having a large room designed for home cinema is a must. The mansion is rumoured to have been built with integrated domotics, perhaps to excess.

Nowhere to go now, Athan slammed on the brakes.
Well, as best he could, anyway. He wasn't stopping anytime soon. He kept going, kept going. Slowing only slightly from a blur. The novelty wore off as he drew closer and closer to the door of Gambino mansion. Up the stairs he went, only by a miracle not tripping on the way up.
Kind of weird that security was so lax, he thought.
"OHSHI-!"
*CRASH*
Athan lowered his shoulder, and slammed into and through the door.
"ANGEL! STOP THIS CRAZY THING!"

You see it was rather lucky that Athan used his other shoulder. Because getting rammed into a door head first like a battering ram would have really hurt. The door had almost been the death of him except for raw luck.
His throat hurt and he had stopped screaming. Now he was just all...trying to be very, very quiet and still and continue his internalized mantra of, 'It will all be over soon. We will probably die, but at least it will all be over.'
...Normally he would have been extremely happy to bust into this expensive place.

Angel had her head buried into Athan's back by now. She didn't even hear Tweak screaming, it was pretty much lost in the wind.
They were slowing, a bit. She heard a crash, along with a jarring, nearly losing her grip. Athan was yelling for her to stop it. She lifted her head to see they were barreling through a mansion. Hell if she knew what to do. Only thing she could think of was to put a shield up in front of them. It depended on how well the shield held up with the speed.
Lifting her hand, she called on shield of light. It brought a shield up around them, but she focused on connected the shield to the walls around them, using it as a barrier or try to.

Athan kept going, and going. Right through a couch, then a wall, then a conveniently opened door, and finally the barrier started taking effect. Except it was sort like a rubber band. He could feel himself slowing down, but there was an increase in pressure in front of him because of it.
Uh oh.
"Everyone off, now."
He dropped Tweak, and assuming Angel listened to him, she'd drop off his back the moment his forward momentum stopped.
And, like a slingshot, Athan would be sent flying back through the mansion, only making a separate hole above the door, and out into the front lawn where he'd skid a good twenty feet or so before stopping.

Tweak hit the floor at about 30-40MPH or so. Maybe he did it at a bit more, maybe a bit less. Beyond that though is that he immediately tucked and rolled straight forward like an out of contol boulder into a hall table where he just kind of layed there.
And by lay there I mean he had was all rocking back and forth and looked ill. All this not including his massive migraine induced by floor rolling at such a speed and later destruction of a stand.
"Angel...where did he ******** go?"
He was not up yet. Rather he was just sprawled on the crumbled wooden remains, head resting up against the wall, desperately clutching his bag to his chest so it would not be harmed in the roll. Luckily he had managed to accomplish that with just a bit more in the migraine catagory.
So not getting up just yet though. Instead he just lay there looking at the ceiling. If this were an anime he would have the swirly eye effect going on somethin' fierce.

Angel already knew what would happen when Athan hit the barrier. The odds were he'd be slung back. She just wasn't sure how far or how fast.
When he yelled for everyone to get off, she was jumping off his back and hit the floor with a roll. It was more then a couple rolls, quite a few. The room was pretty much spinning.
Also, when she jumped from his back the shield broke, but it was too late. She already heard the crashes followed from Athan getting thrown back through the mansion.
Hearing Tweak, she moaned. "He got shot back through the place." She tried to stand and stumbled. "That was worse then a rollercoaster ride."

"Never been on one, wouldnt know."
He was not quite aware of the existance of sarcasm at this point. All he knew was that when he tried to get up, he got dizzy, so he just kind of worked his way up along the wall. Only fell down once to which was something he felt rather accomplished for.
His condition was not holding up all that well. His hair was sticking to his head thanks to the exploding pops, now it was wind blown to hell, eyes were all dryed out from the run and not yet rewetting, and he looked incredibly ill at the moment from the spinning. Basically the guy looked like s**t all around as he slid his way down the hall.
At least his step was getting a bit more stable. It kind of reminded him of some really bad trips. Floor spinning and all, and if Tweak was a master of one thing, then he was a master of the drunk walk. So he was probably handling this whole dizzy walking thing a good bit better then most people would.
"Shot back outside...gah...long way. Where did he ********' bring us?"
Tweak had been keeping his eyes shut the later half of the ride after all. And his vision was not doing so well at the moment as he held his eyes shut to reduce some of the painful dryness.

Athan was back in the doorway, bits and pieces of wood, grass, and dirt all clung to his bare arms and clothing. He looked through the holes he had created before he began dusting himself off, wiping most of the debris off his arms and leaving the rest where it was, including a large clump of grass and soil that was stuck in his hair.
"So..."
He placed his hands on his hips and popped his back. Groaning out of relief when the pressure was suddenly relieved.
"Anything cool in here?"
He seemed pretty nonchalant for a guy who had just gone through a door and two separate walls. But judging by the shape of the guy, he was probably used to this kind of thing.

"I don't know where the hell we are! Give me a minute. I'm trying to get my bearings straight."
Angel pushed up with her hands, leaning against a table that was in the room and she'd landed close to. Her head was pounding, along with a queasy stomach, the joys of traveling at such a high velocity. Her arms were aching from holding on to Athan so tightly.
Her eyes were mere slits, trying to adjust to the spinning just as Athan entered back in the room. He was NOT asking if there was anything cool in here?
"Oh, yeah, we rolled off your back and shot up, looking through all the goods. We found another marble. Want to see it?"
Wow, she was acting very aggressive, not her normal self. If he took bait and walked over to her she was going to slap, maybe even punch him.

"Wow, already? You guys are pretty fast."
Athan started into the room, but when he reached Angel he noticed that Tweak wasn't exactly stable, just sort of walking around like a drunk. And Angel, well, she looked a little angry.
Sarcasm, the most potent weapon in an infuriated person's arsenal.
"...You didn't find a marble, did you?"

Tweak just kind of leaned there against his wall giving Athan the ' stare ' expression.
Unlike Angel though he was extremely materialistic and recovering fast. So rather then dwell on pointless anger at the dumb giant, he disregarded him for now and set to looking around. Slow pan-over of the scenery and all that.
His brows shot up with only that view.
Quick turn of the head to look at the table he wrecked and the broken vase on that far side of it. That thing looked rather expensive.
"Who's mansion is this?"
Mental checklist, they were in Durem after all.
"Athan, did you just crash us into <********> place? Dude, this is bitchin, there were no guards or nothin'?"
Yeah, he no longer even cared about the near death experience. He was too busy stumbling across the hall in an attempt to get at the nearest door he could to see what was behind it. Which basically meant he either threw open the door or tried to break the handle off it it was locked. Not like it mattered if no one was here.
If Angel had slapped Athan, he totally would not have noticed it in his interest.

Speak of the Devil. Tweak brought it on the all.
From above came the sound of someone clearing their throat loudly. Up the stairs, there was a man. Large, dark suit, black shades, a listening device in his ear. He held a black rod in his hand, tapping it slowly against his left.
Looters, in the mansion. Surely they didn't think they could just break in a run amok. Only techies ever got to do that.
He started down the stairs quickly, taking them one at a time, and at a rapid pace, though there seemed to be no realy hurry to him as he beared down on Tweak, the closest of the Looters.

"No. We didn't find a marble." Angel punched Athan's shoulder, but she knew that it wouldn't hurt him, considering he was walking around like nothing happened, though he had gone through a wall.
And she felt better after punching him, so she smiled sweetly. "Okay, now, down to business. Let's look around the place. Tweak's already got a head start on us."
She wasn't feeling all the dizzy anymore either. The bow on her back had moved during the run, so she shifted it back into a comfortable position. She walked through the door they had come through and started towards a door that wasn't open, taking a peak inside she found a study.
Calling back over her shoulder to Tweak and Athan. "Do you think we will encounter the same experience as the soda machine?"
Edit:
She heard a man clear his throat and glanced up at the top of the stairs. "Oh...uh.." She flushed, quickly closing the study door behind her.

She punched him, and as a result, his upper body turned slightly. He wasn't sure what she was going for, but as she smiled, he shrugged his shoulders and did the same.
He followed her out of the room, finding no real need to draw his sword at that particular moment, he kept along with her conversation.
"I think we'll encounter a..."
He looked up the stairs to see somebody descending from them rather quickly. He cleared his throat, reached up, plucked the grass from his hair, and tossed it to the ground.
"This guy."
He didn't seem to care too much that he was heading right for Tweak, but Athan stood there all the same. He didn't attempt to cover up anything. Only one person in their little crew could have been held responsible for busting down a door and a wall. And it sure as hell wasn't Tweak.
