AS recent as.. like.. a few weeks after I had my first idea for a concept, I had a newer, more interesting one flow into my head.
And so I will be officially attempting to get Kaimi now :>
It may be strange, at first, to see such a dark character have such a sweet spirit, but if you read on, you'll understand.
Not really looking for any critting, but PLEASE! Feel free to note something you see off or sommat :>!

[kai-EE-Me Oh-dell ]
A strange man that hailed from a land far from normal, Kaimi is best known for his black Kitsune mask, and his slightly too upbeat personality for his clothing type. Having been merged with the mask, it acts like his face's skin, contorting to whatever emotion his face would normally take.
Not having a place to call home, he stalks the worlds, watching over the souls of the children that have come to him seeking spiritual tranquility. Seemingly dark skinned, if asked where he hails from, he will just turn to the questioner and answer that he is "Hawaiian."
dob» Unknown. He just sort of started appearing.
age» [The character I made:] The body looks to be about 30, the mask carries an aged look on it.
spirit» Childhood Innocence
skintone» Very dark brown skinned; sometimes the mask will seep and black will muddle with his skin.
eye color» True eye colour is a remarkably clear blue, but due to the mask, they've recently been reformed into black with tealish green dots signifying range of sight - the green gives off a somewhat soft glow. the area around the eyes are bright red, with small little white outlines on the outside, showing eye area.
hair color» Very long dark brown hair, some partitions are lighter than the other, in a gradiant like fashion. the main mass of hair sits in a tight and long braid - whereas some strands of hair have been brought forward, which has knicknacks added to em.
AS a kid, I would just like him to have short hair until he grows a little older - and will show later in artings 8D;..
Distiguishing Scar»
- Two scars cross his mouth, which make it appear like the paint from the mask have been cut out. when he moves his mouth, the scratched paint scars stay in the same place, even if it moves out of the scarred area.
- Left ear has a small chunk out of it, and a scar running near his temple -from the line of range.
- Scar from his mask run onto his neck.
- He has a few scars on his midsection (In which I'll draw sometime xD)
All scars will be around every stage 83.

Due to never truely having had parents, Nerfin is still very new to the whole guardianship idea, and is not the greatest person in the world to have care for a child. But he'd try, for even the most secluded man in the world would be able to raise out of animal instincts; and he has tons. Of course - he also hopes that anything that comes his way won't be too much of a hassle, he's only seen 'parents' on TV and in the real worlds.
This will take forever. And a bottle of Tylenol 3.
dob» Unknown. Most of the notes on his study have been filed securely away.
age» Looks to be about 22, which, he likes to say, is very old for a dog.
race» Hume, genetically fused with those of a Border Collie. Due to this, he has heterochromia.
skintone» Tanned Caucasian, so darker than an average white person's skin by a bit. He's out in the sun a lot.
eye color» Right eye is snow white [sometimes called Husky grey], Left Eye is dark brown
hair color» Dark brown.
fur color» Unlike most border collies, Nerpin is white pelted, with black tipping his ears and tail, and has a freckling effect spanning from the tips.
defining scar» A jagged, skipping scar runs from his left temple running through left eyebrow, across nose and ending at left upper jaw area. Chainsaw'd.

 Not much is known about the spirit of children, but of what little is known, is that he is atleast from hawaiian bloodlines - although his dark dark skintone sometimes deters people from such a finding. Unwilling to mention or even remember his parents or previous family ties, it is best to assume that it is a touchy subject, and stay off the subject for the time. What IS known, is how he received the mask. Upon the night in which the theif who stole the Mask Keeper's prized masks, and passed Jack and left to finally escape in her daring but successful attempt, she happened to pass by a young lad on the streets who looked like a big brother to everyone, and yet, at the same time, one who has had nothing but ill luck all his life, being riddle with nicks and scars. Seeing him alone during that night, without atleast someone to look after him, the theif showed only an inch of compassion that day, and, without hesitation, gave him the only mask she seemed (and the masks themselves) fit. That's basically it XD. Theif seems young man. Feels bad. Gives him a mask ;o;. Nothing horribly epic.

  Ke-aka the mask.
Far, far away from the world that the IOTS children and family know truely as home, sits a man of age far far beyond our own; and where he sits, resides a shop that sells many, many assortment of wordly, enriched and beautiful masks. Many colours dazzle and feathers flow, for he loves his job as the Mask salesman. The name of the store, Masque De l'Âme, sits on a small plaque outside - but most don't pay heed to the name of the shop, even though deep down inside, they sometimes worry about it.
For far, far within the back of the shop, the greatful shopowner had his mind kept on many a mask; those that were never to be sold to a commonfolk, for fear that the curses on the masks would drive them into insanity. It was these masks he cherished the most; those that held different forms, different curses and different spells in them; all as dangerous as the last.
But to his dismay, one particularily unrulry customer decided she wanted to have them to herself; and on that night, a number of the masks were taken from his grasps, slinked off in the middle of the night; on the back of a thieving little whisp of a lady. Although his masks were missing, he did not fret, for he knew that the chaos that they laid on those who had received them would call back to him, and he could watch his new 'children' for their eternity.
The first time he heard from them again, was a mask that had been given to a unknowing busker; a lad, who was tall and thin, untaught of the problems it could possibly give him. That night the white eyed boy was given a mask for entertaining the theif; and in curiousity, put it on, forever cursing himself into a cat. The second mask was housed to a swordcarrying man, who had lost his sight since birth. The mask he was partnered was both a giving and taking mask, and both gave him sight, but upon wearing it, he would assume a body unlike his.
And so they went, and although many of the masks never called back to him, one particular mask did. One that even a god would crave. And thus, the mask known as "Renbo" For the seeker, had found a home on the face of a boy that would thereafter become a Spirit; one who would watch over the most cherished item of any parent; their children.--------------------------- Renbo, renamed to Ke'aka by the newly annointed Ka'imi, is the mask of spirits; cousin of Jack-B-Nimble's mask. It was a mask stolen from it's owner, and given to the lad as a 'present' by the theif who took it.
It looks like a generic Japanese Kitsune mask, except for the obvious fact that it's completely black, instead of white. It had originally never been given to a previous owner, due to the power it had to change the owner into a living spirit. When he was made the owner of the mask, it told him his name and he outright said "You are not the seeker, for that's my name, dork. I shall call you Ke-aka and you'll LIKE it." and so, if asked; he'll refer it as "Ke-aka" and not it's original name.
It's essentially the most important part of Kaimi; he'll have it every stage of his existance, for it is a second skin for him. It moves as he moves, and when it's hurt, he hurts. (So yeah, those chips on the mouth hurt tons.)

Secondary Name Meaning: Hawaiian; "The shadow, reflection". Also Hawaiian form of Jack.

Type: Docile; Spirit Guide; Helper (Unlike cousin; which is techinically hinderance.)
Colours: Black, White and Red.
Distinguishing Marks: Forehead Incantation; Two scars on maw. Paint has chipped from Maw.
Can be Removed? Only on full moons can it be removed; not like Ka-imi really does.

 Information about Kaku, or Huna (To Hide/Hidden); the Sword
General information:Real Title: Kaku
Secondary Name: Huna
Real Name Meaning: Japanese; To Hide.
Secondary Name Meaning: Hawaiian; "Hidden".
Previous Ownership: None.
Type: Not quite a Falcata, but sort of not a Dao. Kind of in the middle.
Colours: Black, White, Golds and Red.
Distinguishing Marks: Star like hole near the end of the blade. Red blade edge. Mask forehead marking is embedded near the hilt. The sword bends like a wave almost. The hilt curves up where the blade curves down.
Length: I would say about up to his hip at the age he's drawn in the picture for this quest. At teen age, probably just longer than his arm. It's a smaller sword.
Level of Difficulty Weilding: Not very difficult at all~
Weight: Looks heavy and sharp, but infact is actually pretty lightweight. A young teen could hold it with slight difficulty, an adult would have no issues with it.
Special Attribute: Unlike most swords that cause only pain, torture or hinderance, Huna is a sword that blesses - it's blade has been dulled over so that the owner cannot attack willingly. Upon whence the Seeker (Re: Kaimi) finds and wins a game of Hide-and-Seek with one who's soul has been taxed with the killing or death of a child that was wrongful or malicious in any way, the Seeker can and will pass judgement on the soul, and use Huna to extract, and purify the soul before prematurely sending it to it's afterlife, without the conscience nor mortal body of the owner it left. The shell that is left over is then allowed to return to living, but will die empty, and will not be given it's promised afterlife - since it's soulless~
If the soul is not taxed wrongfully (say, the child died while the last person who they saw was actually attempting to return it to life...) wins or loses in the game of hide and seek, then the sword will purify it of the taxation of the death, and the soul-bound body will be allowed to live thereafter.
The child's soul who then normally finds peace in the truth will either be given a ritual by the sword, and pass over, or do so themselves.
Kinna nice, eh? :>

Kaimi does -not- need Huna until he's atleast teenage, adolesent at MOST.

Question!: By chance was this IotS based off that one movie with the kids running amuck in some city that kill each other o3o? It was like one twisted game fo hide and seek. Because that's what I'm being reminded of. I can't remember the name of the movie at the moment.

Kakurenbo xD. I made him after watching it one night; I love the idea of the whole thing, but he's much much kinder and whatnot.. xD:;.

Umm...so, banners for Christine. There's been losts of questions so far as to what a Brigadoon actually is. It's a bi-colored hybrid tea rose, usually a white with dark pink or red tips, though they can be light pink to darker pink. Really, I just want a header/footer that shows she's a rose so when people look at her journal they know it right away. My initial thought was to have a rose with petals fluttering off it as though it were slowly dying as the header and then a rose vine as the footer, but efforts on my part to make that...kinda sucked.
