..[Introduction].. Hello there! <3 Recently I've begun being active in the SoA community. After some joking around via AIM, the idea of Msalata came to mind and refused to leave. So, I decided to set up my first quest thread in a long time.
If you have time, please check out my friends quests in the last post, as well. Thanks. X3

..[Concept].. Name: Msalata Name Meaning: Traitor Domain: Goddess of Traitors Stage: Adult
History: The story goes when the first creature betrayed another, Msalata appeared. The Goddess herself fails to a remember a time she didn't exsist, and doesn't care enough to ponder over it. She does remember her youth clear as an unclouded sky, and why shouldn't she? Even as a cub, Msalata was a 'dark' lioness. Her entire exsistance seemed to revolve around creating backstabbers, her favorite targets being members of big, happy families.
When given the chance, Msalata herself would charm her way into befriending someone only to turn on them later. It was a twisted source of amusement, until she dared to attempt it with another of her kind, the God of Strength, Ukali. Msalata convincingly told him her name was Haki, and she was the Goddess of Truth. Then a group of mortal lions came forward. They spoke of not Haki, but a Goddess with ill-intentions named Msalata who had lied to them, tricked them, and over time caused the downfall of their families and friendships.
Being young and fairly unexperienced, Msalata was easily overpowered and could do nothing to stop the curse that was placed upon her. As punishment, her colors faded into shades of grey, her wings were taken and her powers were lessened.
They were not restricted enough, however. In a fit of rage, Msalata strengthed what little abilities she had left and began forcing lions to turn on each other left and right. After so many deaths, Ukali quickly realized the punishment was not one strong enough to teach her a lesson. Fearing for his mate, children and other lions in general, Ukali lashed out against the still-young Msalata again, trapping her in a cave far away from any other forms of life. And, a new twist was added to her already severe curse.
Should she ever be freed, Msalata would be unable to harm any living thing with her own paws.
(Ukali is owned by Daimyn, who gave me permission to use him in Msalata's backstory. <3)
Abilities: Before Curse - Msalata had multiple abilities and used them to an extreme. Like most Gods, she used her illusionary skills to disguise herself, but not as a mortal lion. Instead, she would appear briefly as someone treasured by whoever she was speaking to. With such an appearence, she would start trouble. She could continue it by mimicing the voices of anything that spoke. Many a time she would convince a young cub he heard his mother say she loved his sister much more than him.
After Curse - We all hear it sometimes. That little voice in our head coaxing us to do something we know is wrong. Steal your brothers kill, he won't find out! Go ahead and wander away from your mother, she'll forgive you! Usually, this voice will be overpowered by a sense of what you know is the right thing to do, but what if it isn't? What if you can't get rid of it at all? If that little voice doesn't sound so little, but rather like another lion is in your head, chances are it's Msalata. She has a skill for convincing others of things and making them take notice of simple factors they would otherwise over-look.
Appearence: Before Curse - Upon hearing the word 'traitor', many may think of a lion lurking in the shadows with a grumpy expression and a 'don't-mess-with-me' look in their eye. As they say, looks can be deceiving, and Msalata's were proof enough of that. The lioness at one time had a light purple coat, dark purple ears and patches over her eyes, and wings that were both of those and many other shades. Her eyes shone, bright and green, and held an innocence in them that you'd never think twice about.
After Curse - Upon hearing the word 'traitor', many may think of a lion lurking in the shadows with a grumpy expression and a 'don't-mess-with-me' look in their eye. Sometimes, things are exactly as they appear. Msalata prefers to stay in solitare places, usually dark ones where she can remained unnoticed should anyone happen by. Her expression is one that is far beyond grumpy, more along the lines of hateful, spiteful and the look in her eye says nothing but that she wants revenge. Her fur no longer ranges in shades of purple, but rather ones of grey. Even her eyes now lack color. Her wings are absent completely, a large marking where they once were. Over the years her scars have healed and vanished, and now there are no traces to suggest she was ever winged at all.
Personality: Before Curse - Many young lions, not just Gods, often feel they can take on the world. In the case of Msalata, that feeling was an ever-present, constant one. The world was viewed through her eyes as a tool for getting what she wanted or a toy to provide amusement. It was a sort of doll house, and the mortal lions, wild dogs, and everything in between were the dolls. Armed with a quick-wit and equally quick wings, she was an accomplished liar and convinced many to love her as their own daughter or friend, which more often than not led to their death.
After Curse - As always, Msalata still has a sharp, good mind. As always, that good mind is not full of good intentions. The Goddess no longer sees the world as a barrel of laughs, but a vile of poison. Her urge to seek adventure is now an urge to seek vengance, and since the mortals who betrayed her are long dead, almost all of it focuses on Ukali. Though she has her own agenda, it doesn't stop her from taking time out of her schedule to prompt betrayal among other lions. Some things never change, after all.

None.
..[Other]..
Other than gold, I also need a lion/lioness (or multiple of them) who can discover the cave Ukali trapped Msalata in and 'free' her. The seal he had placed has weakened enough so that multiple mortals can break it. Or, a single God/Goddess could break it. PM if interested.
