Enter at... ...Your Own Risk So I went shopping with Aunt yesterday and instead of asking me "do you have a boyfriend yet?" she started to tell me about this guy my age she knows and basically was trying to hook me up with this guy. grrrrrrrrrrr I'm my own person,I can meet people on my own when I'm ready. Why of might powers that be must my family do this to me? To top the cake off My Aunt sent me an email to this guy and me with each other email. GRRRRRRR.
Has this happened to you? if so how have you dealt with it? Any one have crazy families(of course you do)? How crazy are they?

C. Brothers... Oh that stinks.
I would hurt my parents if they did that to me. Sadly my friends did that to me for a dance. It was the worst thing ever, the girl was a freaking slut! Lifting up her skirt to get boned by this guy! Ewww. The people at my school dance so ******** weird! *Cringes.*

///+ Buzz Bro... +///
My parents know me well enough to know that if they set me up with somebody, I would just stand them up and go hang out with my friends. And if they snuck it up on me and just kind of brought me somewhere and said "hey meet this person" I would be rude to them for about 30 minutes and then just leave. Not that I'm against dating, it's just that if I want to date somebody I'll ask them out myself KTHX >.>

o_o Toastie's family has never really done that... :/ They don't really like the idea of Toastie dating. ninja even though she's 18. mad
But last night, Aaron came to visit after work and ended up staying for supper.. :/ he was getting salad dressing out of the nearly empty thing of caesar which had been upside down... :/ and it went splat all over his hoodie.. and Toastie's dad was all "hurrhurr, excited?"
._. And Toastie didn't get it until after supper when they went upstairs and Aaron was all "your dad was meaning like.. er.. when a guy sees a girl... and gets nervous.. and goes all white splat everywhere..." ._. And then Toastie was disturbed.

My mom does that to me a lot. She'll always point out a girl and be all, "Isn't she cute?" To which I'll be a mart-a** and respond, "Yeah, to bad she's addicted to crack cocaine..."

Toastie would've given him a dirty look, but she didn't understand until she was told. Wallflower...

well... at least your parents aren't questioning if you're gay... I mean, from a straight standpoint...
If you're gay... then it's not a bad thing... I dun think... o_o
Iono... I can't speak from personal experience...
Anyways... no... the worst my mother has done, was that... that, and take me out to a strip bar... ._.( )

O.o Based off of the situation you described... it sounds like she was just trying to harmlessly tell you about this guy in case you were interested... and then if you showed any sort of positive reaction she might have decided to get you in touch with him... of course this is just my take on the situation >.>

Everyday they practically ask me if I'm gay, and I I don't want to tell them right away.

My mom once said I needed to date more boys...
... But my mom's friend/my late uncle's ex, who doesn't know about me, started telling me about this nice kid who helped her get home when she was drunk who was only a little older than me and offered to give him my number. I was like "x_x Ugh... no... I'm going off to college, not looking for a local guy..." But I was thinking "BLAAAAH YOU DON'T KNOW ME b***h!"

My parents are afraid of me dating. xd
But there's no one for me to date, so I don't really care. Besides, I'm leaving for college next fall so there's really no point to starting now.

Tell them you don't think you're emotionally ready for a relationship, yet.
If you think you can get away with it(meaning they won't insult you for it later) add in that you don't think you're responsible enough, too.
Most of the time it works.
Just don't say you're not straight, because for me, that made it much worse. =(
