The Dojo
The first floor is a large training like area. The floors and walls are a hard teak wood that’s been stained with a cherry red tent. There are chairs and some couches off to one side of the main floor. Straight ahead is two small offices, one for 9 and one for TJ. Off to the right is a kitchen and to the left is an armory and supply room. The ceiling is about 40 feet from the floor and rafters and beans stretch across holing the other floors up.
On the second floor is the rooms for everyone to sleep in. No matter how many members the BC gets there always seems to be an empty room for the new people. This is also where the hot tubs and bar is at. Next to the bar is a small snack area along with a few pool tables and some video games too.
The third floor is 9’s and TJ’s privet chambers and can only be entered by them. A barrier keeps everyone out unless they where invited into the room.
The Black Company Headquarters
The skirmish between Draeken and KB's forces had been the beckoning call for change. Nearly a year after the dojo had been destroyed, with the help of manpower and sorcery, the new home for the Black Company had been completed. Of course, this time things had been much more elaborate than just a simple dojo. This time around, several buildings have been installed to make the Black Company an ideal place to train, live, and flourish.
The Dojo
The dojo was and still is the heart of what the Black Company calls home. This building lays at the center of of the compound, a two-story building with a basement floor. The first floor is a well kept, 75 square-meter training room with a carpetted floor and a number of objects to aid in training around the outer rim of the room. There are mirrors all around the walls so trainees can watch their own movements. The second floor includes a lounge, made in the image of the BC's original living room, adjoined with a large kitchen that houses various appliances, foods, and a pantry. The walls of the lounge are all windows, with some glass doors, that lead out to a deck and offer a view of the entire compound. For the sake of not disturbing people in training, there are stairs from the outside that lead right up to this deck. The basement floor is for the armory, where various handheld weapons can be found. Any type of blade can be found here, as well as handheld firearms. Ammunition for all projectile weapons are kept in a heavily fortified safe which requires authorization from a dojo 'keeper' for access.
The Black Company Recreation Center (BCRC)
Aside from the intense training the BC is meant to facilitate, there is also the simple recreation which also helps trainees improve; thus, a separate recreation center has been added to the Black Company to allow for less extreme training and even relaxation. The first floor of this indoor center located in the northwest corner of the compound, is simply one massive game court with multiple colors of marking on a wooden floor to indicate which game they are for. Goals, hoops, and baskets are around this court so any game played in a court setting can be done here. The second floor houses an array of exercise facilities such as treadmills, bike, and of course weight lifting facilities, all on a padded floor. There is also a storage and locker room on this floor where extra equipment is kept. Circumscribing all of the machines is a quarter-mile running track. Lastly, the third floor of this facility houses a bar with just about every kind of earthly drink you could want, barring odd original creations. This bar also houses several poker tables and billiard tables. Outside the building are more tracks, more courts, and an olympic size pool.
The Range
Some training is more..... 'destructive' than others. To compliment the dojo and BCRC, the outdoor training location, simply called 'the range' has been added. The packed dirt on the ground of this area makes it ideal to withstand the more brutal and farfetched attacks used by the Black Company fighters. Its position on the south-eastern side of the complex assures that the sun will keep it lit until night falls. Along with the wide open space, there are also shooting an archery ranges out here, where fighters are exposed to more common fighting conditions.
The Dormitory
The BC is as much a home as it is a place for training. The multistory dormitory in the southwest corner of the complex houses innumerable, single-occupancy dorms for the BC members to use as they like. The first floor is essentially a cafeteria and meeting place for the members.
The Gardens
The gardens are the most tranquil part of the BC home, located now in the southwest part of the compound. The large, lush garden is full of flowers and trees of many varieties, along with small ravines running through it. The tranquility of the gardens make it an ideal meditation ground.
The Wall
Unlike last time, the BC is now protected by a massive wall which surrounds the entire compound in a rectangular shape, with all the sides being at least 25 meters from the edge of the grounds encompassing the other buildings. Any given part of the wall is 20 meters high and a full 2 feet thick, made of varying layers of armor and concrete. At the base of this wall, on the outside, is a large moat with a 10 meter width and 3 meters in depth. The only way inside is the massive gate on the north side of the wall, which is nearly impossible to open without multiple people. The reason for this is that more of the occupants need to be in agreement before the gate is opened for strangers. The top of the wall is open, allowing high jumping and flight capable members to come in that way. However, those who do will be in plain view of anyone looking out a window. Around the insides of the wall are ladders that lead up to a ledge near the top of the wall, allowing for an idea perch to fire down on invaders while being heavily protected.
