Giger has an awesome art style. I was watching the Aliens special features stuff (Because I got the box set for Christmas a couple years back) and I saw the painting the Aliens came from. It was just so cool. Hee. I love those convoluted resin walls.

Wait, you seriously don't know the movie Alien? It came out in 1979 (I think) and set the standard for horror movies! It's still scary, and it's truly amazing! I mean, none of the effects look cheesy or crappily done at all, even though it's thirty years old. And I'd love to have an Alien costume like that. Did you know they actually had a seven foot tall guy in that suit? He was like, an African warrior or something.

But what's more badass than bursting out of someone's chest?
I kid. I like the aliens better because they're much more imaginative, and the first Alien movie was just the pinnacle of awesomeness for so many reasons. The Predator is just... blah.

I went and saw it in the theatres. Then I went and saw it again. Then I bought the widescreen DVD. But it sucks. Paul Anderson must die. ^.^ There's a mock review of it at legendaryfrog.com!
