I think they're great. Of course, there may be a bias there, since I'm a christian. xd
I guess the whole question is should we send them to non-believers? I think it's okay, though I get nervous when I do it, cause I always wonder how they'll react, and if they'll get angry, etc. But I think it's worth it in the long run. Cause it's not harming them, and it may be planting seeds in their hearts that could grow later on. 3nodding

I think what makes me a little weary of them sometimes is the ultimatum that comes with them. Such as "Send this to all your friends and you'll be blessed. If you don't you'll be cursed!" (sadly I have seen some like that), "you're ashamed of Jesus if you don't send this to all your friends." I usually enjoy the christian chain-email and sometimes I do send them to my friends, but I delete all the email addresses that it was forwarded from and sometimes I delete the ultimatum at the bottom if it seems offensive.

I agree with Allythea. I get a lot of good stuff from my Mom and Christian friends, but I never send on the ones with things like, If you do not send this a toad will come in the night and murder your hampster! Ok, maybe that is a little extreme, but you get the picture! I don't know about anyone else, but the ones with just a pure, inspirational story just lift me right up, especially after a hard day. NO objections to those!

I like the fact that people are trying to evangelize, but sending a chain letter isn't really the greatest way to do it. I NEVER respond to chain letters, even if they have to do with my religion or my beliefs. [E.G. send this in X amount of minutes or else ___ will ____]
Most of the "inspirational" stories end up being a fallacy. ><
Like what Allythea said, the Christian chain letters like "you're ashamed of Jesus if.." but I just consider that stupidity. >< And plus, chain letters bother people. Really bothers people. People should KNOW that I'm not ashamed of Jesus because of who I am, not because of a pixelated letter. ><

I think they are good as long as they don't threaten people, like when they say "send this or you will be cursed." First, that isn't good, but what will non-believers think when they see that? I think it would be counter-productive. Otherwise I like them.

Yes, the threats are annoying, to say the least. And that's not just in Christian chain letters mind you, that is in ANY chain letter.
I do forward them on rare occasions, though, if what they have to say touches my heart, and if they don't contain those silly curse things.
Even if the story is a fallacy, there is no way for you to know for sure, and why not give the person the benefit of the doubt if you liked it?

I can't STAND them. On the rare occasion I like the story (realizing that most of them are fiction), I delete all the junk at the end about "if you love Jesus you will pass this on."
Last I checked God didn't require us to spam our friends to prove righteousness.

I hate them I find them to be the most overplayed, useless tactics to guilt us into faith Often sent by the least religious of us, who simply fell into the trap They're a total mockery of the Christian faith
