This is a question that I just wrote a report on for my 17 year old brother. The question is "Are you a Stand up and speak out or a Sit back and say nothing kind of person?"
So I would like to know.
Are YOU a Stand or Sit type of person. Please explain in Detail your answer...
(If this is in the wrong area please move moderators) xd

I would say I am a stand up and speak out type of person. Ummm what kind of details are you looking for? If I disagree or know otherwise, I argue with them. Teachers especially. They sort of bother me. If I have something to say, I say it. Sometimes I will admit I have kept my mouth shut. But I had good reasons to.

I'm the sit back and speak. I always have something to say, but it doesn't mean I feel the need to stand up and tell everyone.

I think I'm a stand up and speak person. If I have something to say you'll know, but I always think twice before saying anything.

/It's just a phase/
I'm a stand up and argue kind of person. mrgreen
If there's one thing I can't stand, it's closed-minded people. I have been known to speak my mind to people much older than me, though in such cases I tend to be a bit more subdued. On occasion I am the sit back and don't say anything type, but only when I know that speaking up will only worsen the situation and that now is not the time to argue.
Currently I know someone who has a tendency to force their beliefs on other people and not let them speak unless it's what they want them to say. This person also addresses the group as "you people", and for some reason, the way they say it is degrading, or at least that's how I feel. So I don't argue, but when I disagree with them, I let them know.
In conclusion, I'm not going to sit there and let things happen that I don't want to happen. I'm going to speak my mind even if no one can hear me but the person next to me.
/It's got to pass/

i'm more of a sit down and say nothing person i guess o.O; It's not because I don't have opinions, but its more enjoyable to listen and keep my mouth shut. o.O because personally, I don't wanna be yelled at for expressing my view on someone's ideas. It's much easier that way to get along with people in general. o_O

Hahaha, its sort of strange with me. Most of the time, I'll speak my mind -of course- but I do it two different ways. Sometimes, I stand up and speak (more like shout), and other times, I just sit there and speak quietly. I do always speak my mind, though. If I don't, then I just silently fume. XD Though, I can't help but to wonder why I act so brashly when I'm nervous. You see, I get really loud and crazy when I'm embarrassed or nervous. Gah.. I'm babbling.

Speak your mind when it is right time, yes I do mean RIGHT time. Do it at wrong time and youll be humiliated and/or successfully rebuked. Most of those who spoke their mind (like Ghandi) did it at right time. Others (like Anne Coulture (we WILL not get into that)) did it at wrong time, with wrong words. So basically speak your mind, but sit down and shut your mouth if you know youll be creamed saying what your were about to say (learned the hard way, ooooooooouch! xp I was pwned!)

i will sit back and do nothing if i don't know the people, but if i'm close to the people, i will stand up and speak my mind because i don't want them to be really stupid and get in trouble.

I voice my feelings way more when i'm drunk, though.

I sit and listen until I find it necessary to stand and talk.
Or until I am really angry. Then I stand and b***h.
But it really depends on the topic and the person(s). Settings and all... sometimes it's easier to voice my opinion, sometimes it's not.

I stand up and yell out as many random strings of words as necessary. Then I sit back down, as people watch me weirdly.
I usually do my arguing and opinions only on the internet, where people don't know who I am and actually LISTEN to me.

I'd say It depends on the situation.
I don't back down when I firmly believe something without a great deal of proof showing I"m wrong and alot of exhaustive Research to confirm that proof.
However I am not the type to yell out at someone saying something I disagree with. Example if someone speaking to a large group of people says something I disagree with I will get up and leave if they ask why I'm leaving then I will tell them quiet frankly I disagree with them and why if the conversation goes on that long.
I don't seek confrontation I prefer honest debates between people who know from the get go what we will be discussing. I just don't like shouting matches where two people each try to be louder than the other.

I admit that there has been times where I have remained silent on situations, but for the most part, I voice my opinion.

Hm... I would guess that I am both. I usually express my opinion, but some of my opinions tend to cause mass controversy, so I tend to keep those opinions to myself, unless of course somebody decides to challenge my opinions.
